Very nice. I had an Old Cutler Barlow handled in wood, fantastic fit and finish on that line from Colonial.

That is some very nice Stag on that Old Cutler Paul !!!! Are those the originals ??? I have never seen an Old Cutler with Stag before , but then again I have only seen 4 or 5 in person before. Very nice addition for you I think my friend.

Thanks Justin and Harry, I appreciate the nice comments. Harry, I know Old Cutler was the upper crust of Colonial but I'm suspect to whether it came stock as well? Regardless, I'm really happy with the GORGEOUS Stag covers:thumbup:

The Blade and Back Spring came from an old Imperial USA

The inspiration for this knife came from the Trestle Pine "Portage" - interesting little knife, I believe made by Queen Cutlery (?) but maybe made "to a price" as the fit and finish isn't too flash
(especially the pins on this example)

So (as you do) I decided to make my own .... pretty happy with the end result. Recycled Imperial USA Blade & Spring, Brass Liners, Nickel Silver Bolsters and Pins, Gidgee Scales/Covers

Beautiful! Looks very much like my Trestle Pines Portage Barlow. Great job!
