Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Thanks to Peter (Pjake), I've got a beautiful new Zebra Wood Queen and a fine little Boker.

That Zebra's some of the most beautiful wood on knives, my Queen Teardrop in it is much prized. Would like a No.26 Small Stockman in it or a Whittler.

Beautiful stockman, Will. I agree, Queen's zebra wood line was fantastic. It's a shame that they couldn't keep it going.

Great stainless 25 you've got there, I like the squirrels etch and acorn shield, very poor idea of GEC's to have abandoned that decoration for their stainless knives. But then, I've always suspected they have little enthusiasm for stainless offerings....

I bought this wonderful 83 Purple Sage Tidioute from Jamie on the Exchange. I'm really pleased with everything about it, but...he included an 'extra' as well! A beautiful Wostenholm Sleeveboard with sunk-joints shown left. Many thanks to him for his thoughtful generosity, hits the spot!

A great day today, a Peña gunstock arrived in the mail and is the finest knife I have ever had the honor of holding. Also, the best magazine in the business showed up today with the boat I built on the cover! So I'm in a pretty good mood now.

I wish they'd continue offering knives in stainless, even if only occasionally. I only buy stainless, and there are many, many GECs I'd like to try!

Your purple sage 83 is a beauty!

I stopped by the hardware store today to visit with an old buddy from high school way back when and this caught my eye. I'd always had a curiosity about the baby butterbean but hadn't ever handled one.

So I had him take one out of the display for me to check out as we talked families and jobs etc. I toyed with it a minute or so before noticing the date on the end of the box. It was made on my 21st birthday. I couldn't leave it there. It was like it was meant to be or something.

So, I have it with me now. I joked to the old classmate to make me a deal on it, just playing. I wasn't serious and I told him that. He cut me a deal anyway. Said it'd been there so long that it needed a home.

It came very sharp but I stropped it on my belt and now it's like a tiny razor. My little 6.5 bone stag baby butterbean from 2006.

I plan to carry it with my Buck 307 and only use the little Case. I have to see if it's "enough" and it probably will be most of the time. I'm very happy I found it and it's date makes it even more special to me.

I've been on the lookout for a USA-made Schrade for a little while. I know they're not that hard to find, nor has it been that long since they were made in the US, so they're not that old, either, but I was trying to find one in decent condition without paying more than seemed reasonable. I actually bought two in the last week, but this was the first one to show up, so here it is. Schrade USA Old Timer 77OT "Improved Muskrat."

It's not perfect. There's some peppering on the spines of both blades. The springs are both flush when closed, but both sit noticeably proud when the blades are open (not sure if that's normal on these or what). Being new to Schrades, I really don't know what these should cost, but I thought the price was reasonable (less than a new Case). I also have no idea how old it is (it came with the original box, which is the wood-grain type, with the blue-ish foam interior, and the paper insert). I can tell you this:

I like it. :D

Unless Buck comes out with a bone 301 for the general population this one crowns it. This was the last one the vendor had on the shelf! I'm glad I used pump #13 at the gas station on the way to get it!

My second US-made Schrade arrived today, and I think I like this one even more. Schrade USA Old Timer 33OT "Middleman Jack."

New to me....I rescued this one from Flea-bay.

Would you believe when I received it, the spey blade was behind the sheepsfoot?! (Nothing five minutes and a pair of pliers couldn't fix.) Cleaned it up with some Scotchbrite pads and Flitz; blades still have original edge.

Lots of good knives being shown here. This is my newest pickup, got from the Exchange, and very happy. 2015 Tuna Valley muskrat in mammoth ivory.

Shaggy, I wonder why someone would force the blades into that position??? Doesn't make sense to me! Great job on the rescue

Rookie, I really like the scroll work on the bolsters.....and those swedges....sweet!
