Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

I have a similar model but I believe mine is called the Secretary. It's a good little knife but honestly this aluminum handled version is a bit too thin for my liking. Well made though.

Definitely thinner since it doesn't need liners and scales, I think that on the pocket pal they easily could've incorporated a toothpick and tweezers.

I just bought my first brand new Victorinox, for a whopping $ 15.47 out the door I picked up a Victorinox pocket pal. I really like it so far and how the blades are decently broad for their size, and it's so slim and lightweight.
... I'm glad to support my local small town hardware store. It was the last one and I'm glad I dusted the package off and brought it home because it was the last one and they're discontinued.
Does anyone else own one, and how do you like it ?

H&S, congrats on your new Pal! I've had a Pocket Pal for a couple of years, and think it's a fine pen knife. As you pointed out, the pen blade is relatively broad and I think it holds promise as a whittling knife, although I've done very little whittling with mine so far. And a couple of months ago, the "we sell everything" store where I buy our groceries every Saturday had a bunch of their Victorinox models on sale for 20% off, including the Pocket Pal. I checked online prices and discovered the model had apparently been discontinued, so I went back to the store and bought their remaining three Pocket Pals. So I currently have four to give away, use, or trade with my friends! I should note that my original Pocket Pal has the worst fit and finish of any of the many Victorinox knives I own; it's not horrible, but it's certainly not what I had come to expect from Victorinox!

It happens from every manufacturer from time to time. Mine is on Parr with my grandparents vic classics and my Gardner so I'm happy.
I was still really getting used to that Sabre, now I have another knife to get used to and I'm not sure weather to just go with the new vic for a while or carry both full time.
I've got my phone in my right pocket and don't really like having 2 knives in one pocket . I'm sure I'll get it figured out though, and at least I know I'm not lacking in cutting tools 😁

BTW I gave it a run, and it does happen to whittle prey well 👍

This came in the mail today. Really love the Grizzly Cut Bone, glad I decided to pick this one up.

Wow, that's gorgeous!! Really, just beautiful.
As is the green micarta above your post!
I have really gotten into these traditionals lately. Very nice.

I have a couple right now in my possession that I am particularly proud of, and several more traditionals on the way. Will post more when they arrive. Gonna be good!! And yeah, one of those is NOT a folding knife.

Those are nice looking scout knives. I couldn't quite pull the trigger on buying one because I couldn't find much info regarding the quality. Would you mind giving your impressions?

I found the quality to be very nice and more solid knife than the 71 bullnose. The canvas micarta really shines, no gaps no wobble in blade.

After receiving the 92 maroon eureka jack yesterday and the 72 micarta today I like the 72 scout more. No contest.

LastRodeo, If you were referring to my post, they are good! They are presumably made by Queen Cutlery, long history and revived in recent years. My stag is not as positive in blade movement as I would like, and I could probably send it back and have it seen about, but it's not enough to bother me so I will let it be. But overall they are fine. I just like the Danger Ranger Bear for some reason. And they really are pretty knives, only 50 of each scale set made: Stag, Red bone, Green bone and Black. I wound up with two of the four and would like to have one of each of the others just because.

I was referring to your DRB scouts, but I got two reviews for the price of one. This is a generous forum. Thanks to both of you!

(Is Danger Ranger Bear a famous fictional character? I don't think I've ever heard of it.)
