Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

:eek::D:D

I must confess that as a European I didn't know who he was, had to find out. Imagined he was some kind of outdoorsman legend type....:) Well, yeah very outdoorsy and indoorsy too:D:D

Great knife whatever:cool:

Check out Hunter S. Thompson's book Hell's Angels: The Strange and Terrible Saga of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs to learn more. Great read.

It isn’t easy to take pictures of a knife with polished blades and Cocobolo handles. I had to wait for a bright, but overcast day to take some pics of this new-to-me 06 Pemberton.View attachment 933559 View attachment 933560
Two of my most recent purchases have been the most challenging to photograph. The mammoth Amherst folder is treated with an extremely shiny coating that made it hard to control the reflections. And the Jason Good black micarta contrasted so much with the blade it was tough getting the correct exposure. Like you said, bright overcast works real well.

A good sale from @Signalprick put this one in my pocket today. I have to say, for me at least, the 15 pattern could be just about the perfect size for a pocketknife.

As much as I like the 77, just a smidge smaller seems about right.

Today I stopped by the local knife shop. The owner had been off at a show and had done some trading. Looking through his new stock I found this year 2010 6327 small stockman in pocket worn red bone, absolutely pristine still with the factory grind and even the factory burrs ;). The mark side is gorgeous and the pile side is a bit light with quite a bit of white showing but still very pretty. At 2.75" it's the same length as a peanut but the clip and pen blades are smaller than those on the peanut.

(Of course I forgot to wipe down the blades before taking pictures. I had just flushed it with WD40 and oiled it liberally with mineral oil.)

That knife used to belong to a fine forum member @BigBiscuit that passed last year. May Bob’s legacy live on. Carry it and remember every day is a blessing.

Was just gifted this knife from Saladini in Scarperia, Tuscany, Italy. The model/style is Fiorentino. The bolster and little accent on the bottom of the handle are silver and etched with lilies (symbol of Florence is the lily or "giglio"). Back spring has some file work. Handle is ox horn.

Beautiful.

This one just in yesterday is one of a group I picked up on the exchange. A Tidioute 43 Oregon Trapper with Frontier Bone. This is my first 43, but it won’t be my last! :)

I really liked the looks of those from the get go but wanted to hold out for Stag and as you know , I prefer to only buy Northfield and I can not buy them all . I could easily settle for one of those though . We will see what is available at Titusville . Were you lucky enough to get one with some really rough Bark as well as that color ???? Nice looking knife my friend . Looking forward to seeing it in person in Titusville .

Thanks Harry. The colors and texture is very consistent on both sides. The texture is not overly rough. I’ll say one thing that I really didn’t know. I can pinch the blade open with no trouble. It could have been a little stouter and would have been better suited to my taste!

Just in, an Imperial Ireland 4" stockman with synthetic covers. If there are any members familiar with these knives, I'd love some more info about it. What steel, what synthetic on the covers, when made, etc. Thanks in advance!

The only tang stamp on all three blades.
