Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

Hey Will I don’t believe in babying my knives! But please don’t tell anyone because they might just report me to the Knife Police! On the back label of the tube Charlie says that he wants us to “Please use this knife!” When I took it out of the tube I thought to myself that this knife has been used! ;) I also thought that this knife was surely a second because it looked rough as heck! :( So just as I always do with a new knife I took a cloth and cleaned any visible junk from the pivot and dropped a couple of drops of my super duper knife oil in before I opened it. It was slick and smooth. Perfect walk and talk with a centered blade. :) I’ve made up my mind that I’m going to carry this knife everyday and use it like I borrowed it until the Rendezvous. When I get there I’m going to give Bill Howard and @waynorth Charlie Campagna a good going over for selling a new knife that looks like it has been used for a 100 years!! :p  :D

im gonna do you a favor and ask them to polish it up for ya while they're fixing some knives for me pal! :D:p;)

View attachment 937163 This one just showed up in the mail. Schrade 881 in stainless, with Delrin scales. There’s not much to worry about when carrying this one. ;) :D

That one would be made near the end of days at schrade. The 881 was discontinued in the 80's and brought back shortly before closing but with stainless blades. I don't know if the springs would be stainless, they usually weren't.

My latest addition.
Thanks to LHS for giving me the chance to own this beauty!

Alan, those look top notch. His blade grinds look like they've gotten outstanding.
I couldn't be happier with John's work. I don't have a lot of other customs and none that are truly high end expensive. The one aspect of his knives in my opinion is I can feel the soul behind the steel.

Alan, that Shadow Stag's a knockout! Best looking Sambar I've seen in a long while, and it's getting scarce....

Regards, Will
