And then a little Victorinox Classic with the Marine Corps emblem on it. I have one just like it it I picked up on Camp Pendleton around 1990 but I’ve never seen them anywhere since then.

Cool USMC Vic classic, I was able to find a spartan with the same shield to honor my uncle who was killed in Vietnam

Cougar Creek Teton Mtn lockback
Shown here with its close cousin the Queen Mtn Man
and beefy leather pouch .
D2 and sabre grind. Micarta scales.
Its exactly the same size as the MM.
Only criticism is there its a little rough on locking .I wonder if I can smoothen things out with some emery paper.
Nice knife and great customer service from

BTW - I have that same Mountain Man. It’s probably the finest Queen I’ve ever had the pleasure of handling. Extraordinary quality.
 
The bad - arrived today: A Northwoods stag fixed blade from another site. Unfortunately I am going to have to return it as it is not as describe, the edge is a disaster, and the packaging was very crappy. (But that is a post for GB&U if required.)

First knife of the new year... well, first I've purchased anyway. ;)

3.5" Rough Rider half stockman.

Been trying to find basically this knife for a while, in any brand, new or vintage...( between 3 1/4" and 3 5/8", 2 blades on opposite ends, stockman frame, single spring if possible... want clip and sheepsfoot. This is clip and a spey, that will soon be a sheepsfoot ;) :D )

Been trying for a Case mini muskrat to mod, but they're like platinum hens teeth right now...

There are other options, but I refuse to pay over a certain amount for a production knife... They're not worth it. (looking at you GEC)

Anyway, this is close enough for now! Might even turn out to be perfect and end the search.

Seen them in other recent RR runs, but once I saw it in the rams horn bone I couldn't pass it up anymore. Gorgeous stuff!

Yeah, I'm in a talkative mood... I'll shut up and post a pic... haha.

Fits great, good walk and talk, just a really nice knife.

Only thing off, is the end of the main blade on the mark side. It's like it wasn't covered when they polished it. Or it wasn't masked when they did the frosting effect for the blade etch-- guess that's more likely. It's just on that side, not the other.
