I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this. Curiosity got the best of me. A Case XX Changer, (pronounced "exchanger", cute, eh?). Comes with 4 blades that are super easy to change. They make a brass framed model with either jigged bone or rosewood inserts, but this one is in good old, gen-u-wine, camouflaged Zytel. I'm afraid to set it down in the yard Might not find it again.



Comes with clip, drop, saw and utility blades. Some models come with a guthook rather than the utility.


Fit and finish is excellent. There is no play in any direction. Locks solid. The only flaw is lazy closing. A good flushing and a drop oil will probably help with that.

Fantastic knife! The brass and cocobolo compliment each other really well. I'm surprised that one managed to stay so shiny. I'm really meticulous about maintaining my knives and both have tarnished a bit, even without handling, but I think it adds to the beauty. Hope you get some good use out of yours!
