Your top fixed blade battle knives?

Well, I guess I'm going to have to get something black coated with skulls on it, because my chef's knife just isn't going to work!

(Even though I believe I said that yesterday in this thread.)

A heavy thick knife can be thrown and penetrate, while a kitchen knife will probably just bounce off of clothes.

1) Dont throw away your perfectly functioning weapon. A knife is not like the "Im outta bullets, throw the gun" thing.
2) If you think a chefs knife when thrown would just "bounce off clothes" ....

If you know how to throw a knife, you are not throwing it away, you are using it as a weapon. What if the intruder running away from you with a stack of money from your house, and you can't catch up? You throw the knife at him. If you miss, you can just go and pick it up later the next day.

Sigh.....

If you throw a knife at someone running away with just your money and kill them you will be going to jail. Not exactly justified in the use of lethal force.

This is getting way too prac-tac. If you want to discuss this kind of garbage, do it there. Don't ruin a perfectly good picture thread with this mall ninja crap. Is it too much to ask that we get back to pictures of awesome knives?

PS: I'd just as soon be murdered than throw my Nathan Carothers Chef's knife at anything :)

You don't have to kill someone to immobilize them.

In reality, I'd have a hard time choosing LOL. More realistic: "hey wait while I grab my top five blades to respond Mr. burglar"... ;):D

That's why the Hissatsu is a nice blade for the purpose...essentially a thick, pointy kitchen knife. Lovely kitchen knife with multi carry position sheath, great retention, nice grip, coated and added strength.

Thick, sturdy, and nicely curved. 7 inches of deadly slicer and penetrating power.

Don't overthink it.
When the burglar alarm went off at my dad's house and I got the phone call, I went to check it out armed with a brass-headed cane and a Boker Plus War Toad.
The War Toad is a 2 inch bladed friction folder...

Turned out to be a false alarm, but if a burglar had been there, I wouldn't have been worried. :)

Oh yeah, picture required.

Cute frog ahaha
Still a crime. If someone has their back to you and is running away they are no longer a threat to your safety.

If you want to continue discussing topics like this, here is a great place:

I won't continue to crap this thread up by responding further to you off topic.

So the plan was for the burglar to drop on his/her knees laughing his ass off at the sight of that knife and right then smack them in the head with the cane, right? Now THAT's what I would call a plan!:D
