I got one of these today. I gotta say this kicked the 0452cf out of my pocket. Both are amazing but between the two the 204p russian model wins it for me. If i could keep both i would just stuff the 204p knofe away but that would be a waste. I actually prefer the feel and even the look of the g10 for some reason. And whole both are very smooth the 204p model is like buttered glass.
 
Question to any new owners.

How thick is the blade on the 0452CF?

I have the 0562CF and it's my favorite (current) ZT.

The 0452CF seems like it would make for a much better slicer, but ZT doesn't specify blade stock.

My 0562CF measures at 0.155". BladeHQ lists both the 0562CF and 0452CF as 0.16".

Can anyone with calipers actually confirm their 0452CF blade thickness? I'm very curious.
 
With the price of the LE and Russian model the 0452cf is a bargain. I can't wait till someone makes a custom scale for it.

Put the first edge on my 0452 last night. This thing is amazing! Good steel is a given, but usually I have to fix a grind. Not this time. It was perfect!
 
I've been looking for a 0452CF and they're out of stock everywhere I've looked. I do see a couple shops that are offering pre-orders so I'm assuming these are regular production?? Are they? Will there be more and should I put in a pre-order?

When I was talking with Tamar at Recon 1 on Monday she told me she has 10 more on the way. The first 10 she ordered sold out in about 2 hours. If you want to get one from them I would suggest you give Tamar a call and have her put you on the reserve list before all 10 are committed. They should arrive any day now. 888-473-2661.

By the way...if you do call her...it would be awesome if you tell her Chad suggested you call. :o
 
This is a regular production knife. Although with the current demand, it might be scarce for the next few months.
 
I got my back from ZT after supposed warranty repair to shorten or replace the blade. Despite customer service chick telling me this was a known issue, they did not do a thing to the knife and returned it to me without comment.
 
I gotta give it up to you guys who went out of your way to get the Russian model!
