Zt0450

Woot woot! Just checked tracking and it finally left the store today.

Says I should get it by saturday:thumbup:

While many were scrambling for the 0392BWBRZ, I simply bought a 0450. Should arrive Saturday. Happy early birthday to me.thumbsup.gif

These look awesome... anyone have both the 0450 and the 0808 and care to give us a comparison?

I have both. I like the 0450 much better. The flipper on the 808 is not so good. The ramp is angled too much and it doesn't catch your finger well; otherwise, it's a cool knife. The 0450 is noticeably thinner and lighter. I have bigger hands and prefer bigger knives so 0452CF ranks a bit higher for me although I've been carrying that in the back pocket so I can have something different in the front. :)

If you think that the detente is too stiff, make sure that you are not gripping the lockbar when you are trying to push on the flipper.

Once I realized that I was gripping the lockbar and loosened my grip, it opened easily.

This thing is freaking sweet!

Brutal detent, but I'm getting used to it. You have to be really careful not to put you fingers on the lockbar.

Just got mine today. Very nice. Fits in hand surprisingly well for its diminutive size (and I have med/large sized hands). Disassembled it. Needed two torx drivers. The pivot turns on non-show side when you loosen pivot on show side, unless it's held with second torx driver. ZT applied a fairly heavy amount of blue loctight to the pivot screw.-- Disassembled & cleaned out entire knife. Nano oiled it a bit on bearings and detent ball & hole. (Tiny little caged bearing rings). Like everyone's saying...keep your fingers off the lock bar when opening (not hard to do) then the detent is just right. Nice jimping on flipper tab, just enough and it grabs nicely on your index finger. Jimping on blade spine is too smooth to be functional but not a major flaw with such a nice knife. Knife fires fast & smooth...and closes under its own weight. A bit longer & slimmer than a small Sebenza + it's a flipper! The perfect combo in my book. In summation: A great, smaller, really solidly built zt for edc...razor sharp too. It's definitely a "keeper".

Just got mine from kershawguy, I like it a lot. Seems small because I have only been carrying a 0392 for weeks now!
Detent seems right on. Flips so smooth and closes so smooth you think there has got to be blade play, but no. Super solid.
This makes me want to carry as a back up because I just can't leave the house without my 0392!
Serial # in low 700s.

By the way, you might not be able to tell from Scrim's pics, but the blade and pivot are super shiny moving it around in the light, in contrast to the dull matte of the handle and clip.
Thanks, ZT!

I'm loving mine so far. I'm excited for the pimpers to start making nice hardware for this thing. I need matching red screws and a nice decorative pivot. I've got a 550 clip on the way. Still trying to decide if I want to acid etch the blade and anno the scales or get a new scale for it entirely, maybe a CF one.

Absolutely love mine, perfect detent, fires like a rocket and ultra smooth!
