2011 fish pic thread

Went out to a small river today. Started out throwing a Strike King Rocket Shad. First fish I caught was a Dogfish. I cant tell you how disappointed I was. Thought it was a huge walleye. Caught a half dozen smallmouth . Nothing spectacular. Caught them on Rocket Shads and 1/8 ounce Rattle Trap. Also caught quite a few drum and a crappie. Decided to try for some catfish. The thirteen year cicada hatch is on so I collected a few and caught one nice Channel.

Great work Dip!

I never seen a Dogfish before, I assume they're not tasty...

Rocket Shad eh, Damn it's been awhile since I tied one of them on. Nice work!

Caught a solid 4lb Largemouth this mornin' in the pitch blackness of 4 am. Big hoss for this pond.

Tony, never ate a Dogfish. Heard they were good if fresh.

Grinder, nice nighttime bass. What rod and reel is that?

Ive never cleaned a sturgeon. Dont know how. Plus we have three types in the river here and two are endangered . Ive never learned how to tell them apart.

we have some here that are endangered. none in my general are where i live but in the state of NC they are found in our large old rivers. never seen one before (live)..

Just thought I'd post this here as well. I nornally post on the Buck page. I cought this last weekend in San Diego County, Lake Hodges, on a #7 Rapala Brown Trout. I wasnt able to get a weight on it but it was nice. I snapped the pic on my phone camera.
