2011 fish pic thread

No, I jast cranked it along the rocks about five feet off the shore, in about five feet of water.
 
Im off.

Going Bass fishing maybe a little catfishing and camping for two or three days or whenever I feel like coming home. Fish will be caught.Got some new lures to try out , courtesy of TonyM. An uncle is suppose to drive up and fish a day with me. I hope he cant make it. Im craving some lone time.
 
To celebrate Shark Week, I went a couple of days. Got one Monday and one Saturday.

A couple of buddies and I went yesterday afternoon. Caught 9 sharks, including reeling in two at the same time.

The prize of the day, though, was Dub's 31" Triple tail.

awesome catch dub!! what did you guys use for that big fella?
 
We only keep blacktips. Usually soak em in buttermilk if we are gonna fry them, or salt water if we are going to grill them. We always bleed em and gut em as soon as we catch them. The rest of them we turn loose.
 
Went to a new lake for three days. its not what i expected. The lake is stunted with small bass. The conservation posted a 12 fish creel limit with no length limit. So I caught and filleted thirty-six 10 inch bass. Caught most of the fish on Gene Larew Salt Craws.

hey thats not too bad. atleast it kept you busy
we are headed to a huge lake (Kerr Lake) this weekend. they are stunted with small bass. beautiful lake though..
 
It wasn't far off the shore, Dane. Maybe 30 yards. But, it was into a hole off a point, so the water is deeper than just a couple hundred yards down the beach. And there is some cover in the form of trees that have washed in there. Same spot I caught all those trout back in the beginning of summer. Still catching trout in there.

Fishooter, that's the biggest Tripple Tail I ever seen!! A delicious fish!
 
It's the biggest I've seen in person. Cooking it up Saturday. Got a little over 6 pounds of fillets off of it! They are delicious.
