In defense of midget and backing what I stated about a shoot the messenger mentality Ill change your story a little.
Lets say Roy gets him a fancy magazine with all kinds of chainsaws and pictures in it with a bunch of lumberjacks saying how great this MODEL A chainsaw is so going on this he gets all excited and saves his money up finds him a deal and checks in the mail delivery occurs and he opens up his fancy new chainsaw and " what the he]], that dont look right " so what does he do ? probley hops in the truck and goes down to the gas station to see the guys and let them take a look at to see what they think. kinda like what happened here without the bs.
I would guess the guy is scared or embarresed by all the bs thats been said here but he could be a troll, Ill add this and this is again my oppinion, I think anybody and I mean anybody should be able to get on here say anything they want about any knives they want without getting cursed, bullyed, investigated, blackballed, defamed on other forums, spoken to as a child, ran off, As long as they have something credable to say or have questions or misunderstand what is going on. What do you think this does to potential customers here and new people in the knive industry? PROMOTE GOOD WILL?
I don't think his post does anything to but make him look like a troll. The knife was a bro knife , a second that was GIVEN away , and later sold on the secondary. I know this is hard for you to grasp that Mick would just give away knives that while perhaps may have a blemish , I know the bro knife I recieved was 100% purfect .
So what did Midget expect us to do ? fix it for him ? to my knowledge he has still not contacted anyone to give them a chance to make it right .
All his post did was say " Hey look , I dont have the common courtesy to let the seller ( maker ) redeem himself ". And it's not like he doesnt know how to contact either party.
If someone showed up here and was slamming Spyderco or Benchmade , would you not expect them to contact the manufacture first ? and then they can post about what the WHOLE story is .
I buy my knives to use , I choose to buy Strider , Blackwood , Simonich , |Zero| , and a few others. You buy what you want but I know the makers I deal with stand behind their work , if you give them a chance.
Don't give them a chance , then that's not the makers fault.
True the squeeky wheel may get the grease , but it is also true that sometimes the squeeky wheel gets ignored.
Would you blame a maker for never selling a knife to "midget" , dont worry the people who need to know the real names of those who stir up ****.
FYI even though I go by the45guy here my real name is John T Wylie Jr , and I make knives , though I give most away to friends.
