It seems to me that if he has dealt with Strider many times in the past, he should have known how to take care of the problem. His posting here does appear to me to have an ulterior motive; I could be wrong though.

When this thread dies out, or is closed, Strider knives will continue to sell every knife they can make, and have hundreds, nay thousands, of satisfied customers. Those that are too lazy to make a phone call, consider all of the facts, or like to engage in the sport of Dogpiling will likely remain somehow unsettled. Those with the hubris of the self righteous will remain smug as they are blinded by their own vision.

There have been some posts by some very wise men and women whose advice has not been heeded. One only has to know who they are, and how long they have been around these forums to know how wise they really are. I have to say that I am also proud to have some of them as my friends and brothers. Yes, this does show my hand as to where my feelings lie, but I have known them long enough to be able to call them my friends.

What the thousands who read this thread but have not posted will see is a bunch of schoolboys behaving badly. It is within that context that I say shame on you, shame on you.

I took a look at his previous posts, and I haven't found anything that supports this. If he does have an ulterior motive, it shouldn't even be mentioned without backing it up. Otherwise, all you're doing is making blind accusions. Am I wrong about this?

That is true, but the proof doesn't have to be provided on this forum. It seems that Midget is well known to the folks at Strider. The fact is though that they don't have to prove anything to us. I can understand you not being satisfied with that, but if Strider or other folks in the know don't want to provide proof that doesn't mean that it isn't indeed the truth. It just means that they don't feel that just because someone on a knife forum demands proof, that they have to capitulate.

Then please explain to me how accusations without explainations and/or proof isn't trolling.
Since it was publically posted HERE, on Bladeforums, we owe it to ourselves and everyone here, to allow our member reputions to remain clean until a proper explaination and/or evidence has been supplied.

Unfortunately, those who supported the Strider knife company and Mick Strider added their own gang-like dog-piling to the discussion. But threads like this seem to come along from time to time. Perhaps it's not so much a display of character flaws as it is a form of entertainment. Like getting into a fight at a hockey game.

I don't see that this gives any more information than was given by the OP in the first post of this thread. He had stated that he was a repeat customer and this was the basis for his comparison.

I'm a bit curious how you went from "he has done business directly with the Strider shop" to questioning his motives in starting this thread. :confused:

If he was trying to start a "gang war" or unjustly hurt a business, then shame on him. But laying unsubstantiated accusations to discredit an individual with a valid concern is far worse, IMO.

What I want to know is, who is 360 Joules???? It's a great title if you're into big electrics, but where's a mod suddenly come from and only have under 600 posts (not that post counts count for beans)?

Beyond that, it seems that everything meaningful was said many pages ago in this thread.

You like Striders, or you don't.

You think anyone who has risen to defend Mick and the company is a blind slave or you don't (I'm not).

They do stand behind what they make no matter what.

Strider has loyal fans and supporters, even if you don't like their knives or business practices.

This thread has gone WAY too long and each one of us A-holes who posts continues to prolong that madness:)

Lets let it go........
