Ah-oooooh! The Coyotes are here!

Well I finally found a Sangria and it is now on it's way . Probably will have tomorrow . Still waiting for the Natural Stag that is reserved at CK .

This has to be the most adorable knife I've ever bought! Closed, it's the size of my pinky, with all the attention to detail that you'd expect. The pull on it is soft enough to pinch open to the half stop then firmer to open, nice touch whether they intentionally cammed the pivot or not.

But I have to say...after seeing several #18s, my favorite by far is the natural micarta SFO by Collector Knives (and I had no real interest in it at first). It seems like no matter the pattern, that natural micarta stands out.

Got mine today, love the coyote hide scales [emoji41] And my first GEC button too [emoji16]

My 2 just arrived. Never thought I would look at the houndstooth 55 and think......dang, that's a beefy knife..... :D

I really like the size of this #18 frame. Think the 55 has a little competition now

I am really liking this small knife. It absolutely disappears in my pocket. Full 3 finger grip and very comfortable in hand. I can pinch open either but the tidioute is much easier in that regard.

This one followed me to work on Thursday night

Then lurked around my house bothering the locals.

I will definitely need a Beagle to keep this mongrel thing in line.

Too late to the party. Really like that natural canvas micarta SFO version by Mike Latham, but they seem to be gone from the web site.

Ah, well. Now to decide between the green micarta or the blackwood. Decisions, decisions...

Well my #18 Tidioute jig bone Coyote finally arrived, 12 days and $26.60 ransom later and it has lived up to my expectations as a better build peanut ( my opinion ) it pinches open easily and feels good in the hand, shaving sharp out of the tube, so for someone that likes small knives it is pretty well perfect you would think, but the fly in my particular ointment is that the #25 Tidioute spearpoint jig bone Little Jack i have been carrying for a while now has just about spoiled me for any other of my small knife collection, even when i tore the nail on my thumb and switched to an easy open sheepfoot #25 it still did not feel right, so i "repaired" the torn nail with super glue and went back to my trusty spearpoint #25. So the coyote has gone into the cigar box with his GEC cousins, i suspect that in the fullness of time i shall take him out for a carry because as we all know our tastes change, but at the moment the only change i can see is the #25 spearpoint with ebony covers i have been eyeing up, so i am saving up the ransom money.

My brown camel bone from KSF arrived today.

Video as usual is here. Thanks for watching!

Congratulations Jeff! And nice video - Thanks!

My two arrived last week. They were ordered by mistake - I thought I had ordered Beagles but must have gotten the names confused - both tidioutes;

I'm not really a fan of single blade knives and the wharncliffe is not my preferred choice so I sent them off two a couple of worthy forumites :)

It is a comfortable handle shape. I think the more traditional spear blade may fit a bit better. The tangs didn't stick out so far on the old knives. It will be interesting to see how the beagles compare to the coyotes.

Here's an old Valley Forge...

How do you like that Valley Forge? I really love mine and haven't seen any others, wondering if your example has great F&F too.

And now I'm waiting on an Oily Creek bone to ship...
I really like the size and look of the Coyotes as a secondary knife. I might have gone a little overboard with them. Maybe.

I'll post a pic when the Oily arrives.

Very nice arrangement of two equally nice little knives r8shell !!!!

Harry

Thank you!

I look forward to seeing it. I like my osage coyote so much and plan to carry it daily as a little secondary knife that I was planning to get an oily as a backup. Then the brown camel bones were available and I jumped on that instead.
