Allan Blade

beef,
I wish you good luck. Hope you can have your knife soon.

Guys,
One guy I know here who ordered one knife from AB and paid in advance.
He is still waiting too. If I hear anything from him I'll let you know.

Take care every one,
Joe

You would think that Allan could get out at least a knife a day with the kinds of knives he makes. In fact, that is about the only way he could make a living as a full time knifemaker. When you don't see anyone getting knives for months on end, you know there is something rotten in Denmark.

I feel like selling one of my knives and donating the money to Chen. This trash has gone on too long.

Keith , are you trying to break 20,000 posts?

S/F,
CEYA!
CKDz

Beef, hope you get some action from Mr Blade soon. It does seem odd that after defending his actions, NO futher discussion has taken place on BB. Hope they are communicating privately.
Phil

I'm not sure sure what to do. I'm afraid of starting a new Allan Blade thread on BB for fear of being banned, same on the Bushcraft forum.
Any advice? anyone?

Ah silence!!!

The folks at BB will just keep silent and pretend we don't know or learn the truth.

That Allan is not delivering as promised............

WE knew this before he found love on BB..........

I'm guessing Martyn closed that thread for a reason, and that a new one - to address these very real problems - would not necessarily be welcome there. I looked over the BB forum list, and like many other forums there is a trade/sell section; but unlike many other forums, a "feedback" forum is absent. Perhaps you could e-mail others that are in your situation and see if they want to come over here to compare notes or keep up on who is receiving (or not receiving) knives. I just hate to see fellow knife knuts, where ever they are from, getting ripped off.

If a banning is the price you have to pay for letting fellow knife collectors know about a known thief that's being aloud to roam freely in your forum's neighborhood, start the thread and let them ban you. Screw them for knowingly letting this guy prey on its members.!:jerkit:

Why would you want to be a member of a forum which would ban you for such a post.

-Cliff

Yeah, why would you?

Martyn can censor and silence all he wants on BB but he cannot do it here.

Maybe you folks from BB who WILL wait forever to get your paid Allan Blade knife will want to at least vent here.

Kind of like Domestic violence where silence is never an indicator that all is well.

I'm sure I will, but there is no particular effort being put towards it. I will likely pass 30,000 as well. Why do you ask?

beef, It would really be a low thing to do to ban someone for posting about one's legitmate concerns. If that were to happen I would lose all respect for that forum. The fact that someone would even be concerned about it happening is worrisome.

I have not posted regarding this issue yet, in part because I am not personally involved, and because many other members seem to be focused on it.

However, the concept that a member, moderator, or owner/director of a forum would ban a member for legitimate expression of dissatisfaction over another member’s failure to deliver on a product SCREAMS of complacency, collusion, pay-off, corruption, and whatever else the imagination may come up with.

This mentioned with a certain degree of continued courtesy to the members and administration of BB.

This does make one somewhat suspicious...

All the very best,

Stuart

Torz, if you look at a member's posts, you will see there is an iTrader rating just under his reputation count. If you click on it you will be able to see feedback from people who have dealt with that person.

I suspect Martyn locked the thread to discourage verbose postings and limit feedback to the iTrader module he installed.

The only problem with their iTrader system, like most rating systems, is that it's worthless if it isn't used or updated.

For example, Allan Blade has an iTrader rating of 2, which are dated 19-07-05 and 08-08-04. It also indicates that he has only had one feedback in the past 12 months.

Together everyone. . . . . . .WORTHLESS ! :D

I agree, bad use of a good system. Hopefully those ripped off by AB will leave him feedback there.

Leave negative feedback and have Martyn Ban them????

Nah, they will just continue to cover for Allan and when their knives are two years overdue because Alan is sick, his Daughter needs her tonsils out, blah blah blah they can allo wish him a speedy recovery................again (insert a laughing emoticon here1!!)

Well, everyone tried to warn them and got a facful of dirt kicked on them,if they get ripped off,oh well.
