Anyone else looking forward to the GEC #83?

Took a trip down to my favorite knife shop today and to my surprise the had just got #83's in. These are some incredibly nice knives. I came home with this one.

^^^ That is a beauty!

Im really glad I ordered one of those.

Got to handle one at the GEC open house, VERY nice small folder, tempting me quite a bit :)

I'm beginning to ask the same :D:cool: Mind you, it all depends on the grade of stag.

Regards, Will

Agreed. Im waiting to see a few pics. If I like it, I will be getting a clip, if there is one I like and they haven't sold out. I just cant put in a reserve on stag I haven't seen.

Absolutely Brett, stag is so individual that you could end up with a beauty or a monster!:D:eek:

Fair enough. What distributors do post individual images for the knives? I know KSF does, not sure about Collectorsknives... who else?

I think you'll find that all the dealers on GEC's website have excellent pictures of their stag knives, it's a must.

The pics look great gents! I've got an ebony on the way : ) I know this run isn't even done, but I'd love to see this pattern in a slippie. Who's with me?! : )

I picked up my #83 at the G.E.C. Rendezvous on Saturday.
I had thought that it would be a nice knife, I am glad that I didn't let it get away.
The scales are called Autumn Leaf Jig Bone. G.E.C.'s jigged bone is tops.
I think that all the variations in this pattern are winners. I look forward to seeing them on this thread.

I picked up an Autumn leaf jigged bone at the Rendezvous, but decided I wanted a Yellow Rose instead. Absolutely awesome little knives, I almost bought a micarta.

I thought all these #83s had drop point blades; however, Mike Latham has the blade description as "sheepfoot" over at CK. Is GEC offering the #83s with more than one blade choice?

ED,
I think there is a Clip version as well as a Drop Point but I haven't seen anything about a Sheepsfoot on the #83's. Is it possible that you saw the description for the upcoming #25's?
