I've seen and had the knife in my hands at a florida gun show . Although I didn't buy one I watched other people get them . It just didn't do anything for me .

If anyone wonders why we are going after this guy so hard, it's because he dishonors the very people he claims to uphold and represent: our servicemen, and knifemakers. Robert H mentioned one in particular who represented the best qualities of both: Bob Horrigan.

Horrigan REALLY IS/WAS what JLightning will always only WANNA-BE -- but will NEVER BE.

We're having some fun on this thread, but in the end, it's serious business, when you consider that the real operators and soldiers have sacrificed so much, including their lives, so that we have the freedom to joke around and say whatever we want to say. But the real fun is having the opportunity to fight here for our troops so they don't get ripped off and taken advantage of -- to give back to them in some small way.

RIP MSG Horrigan, and thank you for your sacrifice. And thank you to the members in this thread who sacrificed and served as well. Jlightning doesn't deserve to lick the bottom of your boots.

Ok guys, Out of this guys whole web-site I think the thing that botherd me most are the fabricated testimonials from fabricated servicemen. In our post 9/11 society every non-ethical would be salesperson seems to base their profits on the patriotic heart strings of the rest of the country. It's sickening!

I spent from 1997 to 2005 as a Police Officer before moving into the world of Private industry for financial reasons. Where I work now is basically a melting pot of former Law Enforcement Officers and Military Personnel from all branches and areas of service.

ANYHOW, one of our guys just returned from Iraq 3 months ago after a year and a half deployment and is also a Ranger. So I asked him..

(Me).. Hey, You ever heard of an army group called "Force Pro Cell?"
(Him)...(give's me a stupid look).
(Me)..No seriously, I have a reason for asking, Have you?
(Him)...(while laughing)..NO

However, I know I had heard of "Cereberus 1" just couldnt place it. So, after searching and searching I FOUND IT! Turns out its a Yu-Gi-Oh spellcaster card in my Nephew's card game deck. Guess it really does exist.

Incredible. I would not have thought it possible, but he just slipped another notch in my estimation. ha ha ha ha ha

Amen to that Brian. I would hope that most people will catch on to his over hyped BS, but there is no doubt that many will fall prey to it.:grumpy:

AMEN!!!!!!!

Private-equity investment powerhouse Cerberus jumped into the headlines this week with its stunning acquisition of Chrysler from the company formerly known as Daimler-Chrysler. (Cerberus acquired Chrysler for nothing, except for taking on about $20 billion in pension and health care obligations.)

Which raised an interesting question for most of us who previously had never heard of Cerberus – how did it choose its name? Cerberus is the name of a mythological three-headed dog monster guarding the gates of hell. Poisonous plants would sprout up anywhere its doggy drool hit the ground. That's not your run-of-the-mill corporate mascot.

So is he named for an investment group? Unlikely, The knife hardly seems like a good investment.

So that leaves a three-headed dog with dire drool?

I'm not having much luck finding the English version of the Yu-Gi-Oh card, but here's the German version:

Brian - a big amen to everything you said. It's sad to me that guys like J. Lightning Bug have the gall to try to work people over with those hilarious, but ridiculous claims. And when he's confronted, well, his response was almost identical to another "outed & exposed" poser from a year or two back (I won't mention names).

As Horrigan's obituary :( said: "All men die, but not every man truly lives."

Here's a toast to MSG Horrigan, as one who really lived it;
and a roast to Lightning, a wannabe who only pretends it.

thx - cpr

He hasn't made any specific claims as far as I can tell.

"Over the past several decades I have worked as a Tactical
Operator in one capacity or another"
J. lightning.

He does claim to be an "operator" so this pretty much amounts to claiming military service. He is just conveniently non specific about it

unless he worked at a tactical special forces call center of course :D

I didn't think it was possible, but this makes the Dark Ops line seem seem downright sensible AND cheaper by $400.

"Damascus is world famous from the very beginning of steel being forged for axes and knives. It is an ancient tradition of repeatedly folding carbon steel onto itself during the forgeing process to make the steel strong and flexible. This process reveals the beautiful layered patterns of oil quentched Damascus.
This particular knife, as you can see by the layered patterns, went through quite an extraodinary layering and quentching process to develop the patterns that you can see in the photo.
Understand, this is extremely tough beyond any other steels in knife making, to such a degree that properly used, and NOT abused, you will never have to sharpen this edge.
If it should ever need sharpening (I greatly doubt that in a life time), as I was the one who put this edge on it, the knife can be sent back to us and have the same edge put to it as you receive it with. Belive me, you will never have a knife as sharp as this one, or has the edge holding capability.
Understand, you can only sharpen any knife to the degree that the steel is hard. Believe me when I tell you, Damascus is the toughest steel to sharpen because of its extreme tempering and folding and compression in forgeing, and this particular knife has been folded and treated to a ridiculous extreme.

Regards,
J. Lightning

I don't think I have ever read anything that more clearly showed that someone didn't have a clue what they were talking about.

Cool, Aaron. Although at this point he's hopefully packing up his chop shop and going back to selling used cars.
