that is the key here. if the seller acted in good faith, then the buyer did not get shafted.

there was a simple solution, and this thread was not it. all arak has done is convince a fairly large number of members never to sell to him.

I haven't heard word one from ARAK, not here, not PM, not email - since he tried to depth charge my sale thread and I offered him a refund if he would just ship me back the knife.
I've got an email from PayPal - he's disputing the sale through them and so they've pulled the purchase and shipping price out of my account.
WTF?!? -- I don't see anything to dispute. He said he's not happy, I told him I'd give him back his $$ if he would just send me back the knife. I don't have the knife back and it's been 2 weeks since he took delivery.

That is wrong on so many levels! You even offered him to give him back the money for the knife, saving him the trouble to do it through Paypal :(

At first I thought he was just pissed about the handle not being entirely as stated (which I can imagine, even though this is certainly not how I would have responded), but now it looks like he's trying to rip you off.

Arak, this is not okay man...
 
I'd get ahold of someone at paypal mighty quick and forward any emails and such regarding you offering him the refund.
 
Contact PayPal, state your case. At this point they only know what he told them. Whatever that was.
 
It sounds to me like he's going for the knife & the money.That's theft,isn't isn't it?

Is there any reason why this POS shouldn't be banned?

I called PayPal and gave my side, especially the part about offering a refund 2 weeks ago but no knife or other contact from the buyer until he filed his dispute, despite having several ways to contact me by email.
They want me to wait another 4-5 days to see if he ships the knife.

and I will try to post better pictures of the blem if it comes back.

+1 on being proactive with Paypal. They will usually side with the buyer, so you need to pass along everything you have and show that you are the good guy.
 
Wow, ARAK has turned into a buyer from Hell!!!

And he files a paypal dispute while ignoring simple resolution here???

He just might end up on the &*&^tard roster
 
It looks like ARAK does not understand the concept of "Community", BFC IS a community.

For what its worth; ARAK does NOT have one post that benefits anyone but him. Every post is in the exchange, like this place is his personal E-bay. The guy cannot even fork over $10 to be a basic member.

Time for the plank, guys like this are selfish and care only about buying knives at a better deal than E-bay. Matter of fact ARAK IS worse than a troll
