Jack, at least you had a spare key you could get!

Rewind 5 years. I was newly single, wife left with another dude. It was me and my little girl. I had changed the locks the day before. Left for work at 4am , the baby had stayed at her grandmas that night. Guess who forgot their new key inside. Guess who hadn't put the new key in the spare key place outside. Guess who hadn't given the new key to mom and dad yet.

Well, the windows built into doors aren't too expensive aftrrall. But not that easy to break! Lol.

Btm, I feel you on weather. We see 4 seasons in 24 hours down here also. I have left for work bundled up and came home and changed to shorts. Literally.

Sorry to hear about your day, Jack, but I'm glad things worked out. I'm younger than a lot of people here (50), but my body is letting me know I don't recover like I used to. Started a new job this week that has me up and away from my desk a lot now and moving equipment, so my body is wondering what the heck I'm doing to it. Additionally, Arkansas has a tendency to cycle through four seasons in a week this time of year wreaking havoc on joints abused by sports, SAR, and the Army.

Thanks Todd, good luck with the new job :) I sure miss being 'indestructible'! :D

Jack I'm sorry you are having a bad day.

Thank Randy, I'm sure we've all had worse :)

Ouch, when it rains, it pours eh?! I was locked out a couple of times when my kids were young, both times it was quite a drama! I'm not sure I'd be up to breaking into my own house these days! :D

Back here after a few days without internet (the good and bad side of being on holiday so far away from home :D).

Leghog,
I know enough about those procedures, since it's my job to be involved in the business. Anyway, as a colleague of mine pointed out long ago, we overrate the importance of a good 10% of our body parts

As for the Superbowl...this year (after at least a decade) I had the opportunity to watch it live (timezone when I'm home doesn't help much). I loved it. Everything. Even the concert and the commercials (at least those on Latin ESPN :p). I lived all my youth playing sports (volleyball mostly, I got close to becoming a "smalltime pro" when Italian volleyball still ruled the world), but I grew fond of many other sports (including "your" football, which is in fact one of my favourite sports to watch). I don't cry or yell or suffer, I just enjoy it. I assume my competition spirits were used when I used to play, so I was never a die hard fan of any team nor any sport...and this allows me to enjoy everything I watch without giving it too much drama. I know the Patriots would come back, and they did. Didn't like the "sudden death" type of overtime: in sports played along the clock (football, basketball, soccer, rugby, and so on) I think it's better to stick to time (extra time included). Anyway, congrats to both teams. A couple episodes decided the game...and this time, it was Patriots' time.

It's coming to an end now. Got just about 14" at my house. My son in law just left after cleaning us out for the second time. I think he just likes my snowblower. :D

Even with that much snow Bob, the weather just has to be great with a SUPERBOWL victory:D

I love the patriots they take second only to the Broncos but even if you didn't like ether team you got to admit that was one of the greatest games in history! Plus Goodell having to give Brady the trophy after all the bs the patriots have been through! Priceless! The commercials left something to be desired.

Daniel.

I suspect you're right Bob. My son in law never offers to come dig us out. We don't get that much but once in awhile.

We've been very lucky with rain instead of snow this winter. The cold and wet haven't coincided as much as usual.

What is this "snow" y'all speak of?

It's gotten below freezing just 3 nights this year. In a row. I think it dipped to a bone chilling 28 deg.

Today will be nearly 80.

That sounds abysmally awful... I am not fond of temperatures much above the mid 60's myself. In regards to snow though, we got far more than are usual fair share this year.

In other news.... I have a major deadline to meet today at work (yet here I am on the forum), and all I can think about is the GEC Bullnose that should be waiting in the mailbox for me shortly. Not good for the needed focus...:D

Oh well, hopefully I can go retrieve it on my lunch break.

I am kind of a sucker for OD micarta, so that is what I went with. It will be my first folder with that sort of material for scales.
