Could you not just keep your Photobucket account active and just not continue to use it to host future images? It will continue to host images that you have dispersed abroad. But for future use, you can use a new hosting site without impacting your images that Photobucket is currently hosting.

I hope that makes sense.
This is pretty much what I've done. Any new images I post are through imgur. My photobucket account is still there. I use photo bucket's free service. Not sure what happens if you pay for extra storage and then stop paying.

I'm probably jinxing myself for saying this, but Photobucket has been working pretty well for me since I installed "Adblock Plus" on Firefox. Without it, there are so many flashing ads and pop-ups it would freeze up the old computer.

I shrugged. Said, "All goods worth price charged." Then signed up for a paid account for 10 bucks a year. Since I did that, I have no problems using photobucket.

We have had this conversation many times before.

On your recommendation I did the same thing, no more problems for me. My internet is skadooshed generally anyway - living where I do, we get between 0.3 - 0.8 meg :)

No snow here. But spent 2 hours at the assessment center last night. I thought my baby boy was gonna make his escape. But the contractions stopped.

At one point, I thought I was gonna have to birth him in the car heading there!

Haha, I feel for ya SVTF. I had a similar experience years ago with our first. My wife had insisted she keep her old doc when we moved an hour away. The fear of having me deliver our Emily on the road changed her mind real quick: daughter #2 was born 1/2 mile away at the local hospital:p Best of luck for your family!

It's still snowing but I figured I better give it some attention this morning.

Yowza! It never snows like that in oklahoma, I can only remember one blizzard a few years ago but that was it. My dog would have a field day romping around in that.

I just wanted to give a quick hello to everyone. I missed rocking in my chair lookin' and talkin' knives on "The Porch."

I had to take some time to adjust to civilian life. I had to work on some behaviors, change some things, and generally slim down my possessions.

Also, I had to quit drinking for numerous reasons, but not because I had to - I just needed to, IMO. I've been dry since December 20th 2016 and I feel incredible. So. Much. Energy! A little moody, but I haven't wavered from my goal. Not saying I won't drink again, however, it won't be for a long time.

I'm glad that I'm not to old or stubborn to do a self evaluation and implement needed change.

I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to conversing with y'all again.

It won't let me edit for some reason. Instead of "had to"I meant to say "decided to."

It keeps telling me to shorten my post to 85 characters when I'd try to correct my post.

Whatever - has anyone else ran into this problem?

I moved from Buffalo years ago, and do not miss the snow! My brother puts a lot of miles on his snowblower!

Charlie: Sometimes I wonder who, if anybody misses Buffalo? :o

But I'd rather deal with snow than with Photobucket!
And like a previous poster, I am stuck! There are thousands of photos on "Elusive Schrades", "What Makes a Good Traditional Barlow", etc, etc. That would all disappear if I abandon ship!!
Aaarrrggghhhh!!

No, don't abandon ship. Just run two different sites. Leave all your Photobuckets there.

Was happening to me for a short while the other day, only when editing.
Then it stopped.

Good to have you back on the Porch. And good luck with your goal!

Glad to see you posting again. I haven't had even as much as a beer since 1982 and not missed it one bit.

Yeah, I can't stand the thought of all that work disappearing! I am sure I will maintain it as long as possible! Sigh . . . . . . . .

Never had a problem with Photo bucket over here- I already know that's gunna jinx me so it doesn't count ha hah- I upgraded to a paid account and it gave me a gigazillion megaferrets more storage -this is great because now i can upload family pics for my English rellos and they access the pics using my account-heaps better than emailing everything. In Australia there is the recently installed NBN(national broadband network) sadly due to political bungling and budgetary restraint it is tied in to the existing copper cable network- what does that mean? Well imagine them building a huge 16 lane freeway that runs right across the country ,right past the end of your street but to get to your house you still have to drive down a narrow two lane blacktop with cars parked both sides effectively reducing it to one lane. Sound stupid doesn't it. Look I'll be honest -it kind of works better than before but it's not the bees knees that politicians wearing hard hats and hi vis tabards would have us believe they are solely responsible for.
My biggest whinge was when the guy came to hook us up and had to dig a trench through my steep and heavily vegetated garden to find a break in the cable. He was there for hours. The guy was a champion -he found where the cable was broken -at some stage landscapers had placed a large rock on top and he mined under the rock to find the break. He had to run an eel type thing up the conduit to the house from the street but it stuck halfway. it was getting close to teatime and I was telling him to come back tomorrow when his wife turned up and started bossing him around to come home and trampling all over my orchids like some sort of unauthorised trespassing rhinocerous with control freak issues. She was asked nicely not to by me.
That guy has the patience of a snail who has just been appointed dalai lama of all gastropods.

With you all the way HST- since xmas I've had 2 sessions on the beers -can't say I enjoyed either-it was almost a chore.

"You can't go home again."
Apparently, I cannot.

I had occasion to go to the San Fernando Valley, north of Los Angeles today. On the way I thought I'd drive by the house in which I grew up. What I found was not a total shock, because I had used Google street view and knew what I would find. But somehow it hits home more when you drive by the address and see that the original house built in 1935 had been razed and replaced by two other houses. And rather gauche, ugly ones at that, IMO. Bummer.
