"Carl's Lounge" (Off-Topic Discussion, Traditional Knife "Tales & Vignettes")

Buried a dear friend in the backyard yesterday. Those who know me know I'd rather be with most dogs more than I want to be with most people. Yesterday I buried one of my best friends out back. Left work early to pick up the mutt from my daughter, brought her home, and buried her in the rain. It sucked. Lusilly enriched my life. She was well loved and a bundle of love herself. I will miss her.

Sorry for your loss, leghog. I know what you are feeling. It does suck.

Sorry, leghog

Still praying for you and randy, bob. Thanks for the update. Leg, I'll add you to that also.

Wondering what to do for your Mum or Mrs this mothers day (in Australia)? take her to the theatre . See meako light up the stage as Butch the worlds butchest, blokiest roadworker in the world premiere of SignAl.
@Wollongong Workshop Theatre this weekend-tickets now available. Themes of respect and acceptance can be found among the dad jokes ,puns and innuendo.

Have you tried wearing mirrored sunglasses with that outfit mate? ;)

Good stuff (I'm wary of wishing you anything that might violate the multitude of weird theatre superstitions! :D) :)

I've been meaning to post an update on our friend Randy Redden. I talked to him a couple days ago, but I've been having some of my own issues. Today was a much better day.
Randy was released from the hospital and home, but that only lasted a day or so. It seems that he developed a very bad infection in his wrist where they had -laced an IV PICC line. So he landed back in the hospital immediately. Apparently they had to do surgery on his wrist to clean right down to the bone to remove all the infection. We talked a bit until one of his Dr's came into the room and he had to cut our conversation short. He hasn't posted anything obviously due to the complications, but I also think he was feeling a bit down because the original surgery didn't go quite as planned and hoped for. He told me the only good side to being back in the hospital is that he's in one close to home so family can come visit any time instead of driving three hours where the other hospital was.
Still pulling for you Pal. Hope you're home and well soon.
I appreciate your taking time for the update on Randy, even though you've had your own ongoing challenges, Bob. I've been praying for both of you, and hope you both can have more good days than bad.

My sympathies for your loss, leghog. It's incredible how much unconditional love dogs can display, and less than ideal that they live relatively short lives.

My condolences to you, leghog.

Best wishes for Bob and Randy.

Man, I hate hearing this about Randy. He's a good guy. Thank you for keeping us posted, Bob. Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while.

Thanks for all the compliments on Barlow too everyone. I'll pass them along. :D
Hello Todd. Randy has been living with some very serious health issues. He was finally approved to have surgery to hopefully repair many of those issues. Some were successful, some were not. So unfortunately he will have to live with those they could not fix. He and I share many similar health problems. Randy is such a great guy and friend to know. It's truly a gift that I've come to know him.

Barlow is a great looking pup. :D
Bob and all: Thank you for the update on Randy. Let's hope he bounces back as well and as quickly as possible.

Sorry Leghog, that is never easy. My sister recently lost her best friend lab to a beaver trap and it was devastating. Time may help some, but it never heals fully.

Bummer Leghog
Will you get a new pup maybe in a while?
JB I tried the teardrop mirror shades but the director said no.We caught a spider in the dressing room which I christened MACBETH.
Superstition is alive and well.
