Christmas gift swap!!! LAST DAY TO JUMP IN!!

This bugs me. If all else fails Mudbug and you don't receive your package pick out one of my models and Ill make it for you in January. It won't be done by Christmas obviously and that sucks, but you will get your gift.

Mudbug, I hope your package shows up for you, but if not it looks like Chris has you taken care of. Hopefully Chris can get ahold of whoever had your name and figure out where it went.

Chris, thats great that you are willing to do that for Mudbug if need be. It just shows how great some of the people here are and why I'm glad to be part of this forum.

NOW SOMEONE OPEN SOMETHING!!!!!

No one else yet? The temptation must be getting awfully strong for everyone. Its only a few days before Christmas now, I think it would be ok for some more people to tear open some packages? Just a little something to tide you over until its actually Christmas. Anyone?
Come on you know you want too....we won't tell.:)

. . . hmmn, open package or safe place to sleep / open package or safe place to sleep / open package or safe place to sleep . . . . :) :)
Be safe.

This , +1!

Chris, see p/m inbound to you . . . . let me know as soon as you can . . . .
Be safe, Merry Christmas.

Mudbug I hope your package shows up soon. I sent a package to ND and it took a week, but got your package from OK next day or two days later (can't remember now)

Mudbug thanks for all the packages, definitely a surprise and leaves one wondering.....

I had to open the first package a couple days after getting it or else my wife said she'd open it while I was at work. Thanks for the umbrella blind and flashlight. Might try the blind when the kids go hunting with me, should hide some of their antsy movement. Hopefully I won't need the blood tracking part of that flashlight, but if I do I'm sure it will be handy.

When the second (surprise) package arrived I opened it almost immediately, curiosity got the best of me. A Case M3 Finn, neat little knife I had not seen before.

Today a third package arrived from OK, surprise again!! Since I'd already opened the other two, I had to go ahead and open this one. To my surprise it contained a couple items I had considered purchasing. A call lanyard, gunsmith screwdriver set, and some paper targets. Awesome!!!

Thanks Mudbug

Thats great!! I never woulda thought about doing something like that. I bet it was fun to keep having things to open.

Been cleaning tools, eating fruitcake, drinking IPA and eyeing my Christmas Gift Swap package....

Was determined to wait til Christmas Eve....

Mebbe tomorrow night.

Gnarly resist the pull of the dark side. Stay strong and remember you have to sleep sometime. :D
Just because we've all succumb to our inner weakness doesn't mean that you have to. Then again you know it's something really cool, maybe even sharp and pointy. Your only human so there's always that excuse.
Not sure that this was in any way helpful but then again I'mnot sure that it was meant to be.:D:D!!!!!!

You may as well just go ahead and open in Gnarly. You know you really want to anwyays. ;)

Chris, that is SOOOO SUPER GENEROUS, and I really appreciate the offer, but it's unnecessary. I only brought it up so in the event that something was sent, the sender would not think I was being rude and not acknowledging his/her gift. Besides, there's still two days of delivery left. I sent a package to Ontario 8 days ago and it just cleared customs this morning. And if I remember correctly, I was late in getting you my addy, so the package could be anywhere here and Bugtussle Egypt ;) .

I just received my Newbie KITH knife today, so I'm pretty stoked as it is!

@KyTurkey

Glad you like the gifts. I forgot the card and letter in the first package. I was rushing to the post office and trying to get inside before they closed. Sorry about the opened package of targets, buy my 8 year old daughter found them and wanted the "stickers" for her room! I think she went through one or two sheets before I found out.

I bought the blind/umbrella a long time ago and figured on using it if it rained. I've taken it in the truck with me several times, but I don't think I ever had it out of the package.

I have 3 of those lights. I bought 2 last year when they were on sale. Some how, I forgot about them. This October, I hit a big Doe late with my bow one afternoon and had to go back the next day to find her. I swore I'd buy me a blood light, so I went to Wally World and bought one. A few weeks later, I was digging through a box of gear and found two identical lights like the one I had just bought!

As I said in the letter, many moons ago a buddy and I use to start sending gifts the week after Thanksgiving. One a week until Christmas.

One year, he sent me a mangled fly that he said he caught his largest brown trout ever on. I think it was on the White River in Arkansas. Well, I couldn't top that one, so I went out to my boat and scrounged around trying to find something I could send in return. I finally found a very old and very squashed and very dried out minnow laying on the floor back under the console. He'd been there since Spring. You know how they get, like little bits of thin leather.

So I put it in one of those little baggies that tackle come in and sent it to him. I simply told him that this minnow had caught 6 Crappie for me before dying and that I didn't have the heart to throw him overboard. I told him that it was the most loyal and dedicated minnow I had ever used!

Yeah, I'm not above giving a gag gift if I know someone...lol

Yes I did. Thank you for the thoughtful gifts and I'm glad I was able to help. ;)
You can call me Richard or Rich just not Richie or late for dinner. :)

Got home from work....houseful of loud partying heathenistic friends....they just departed, stumbling on their drunken way home.

Loaned out 3 of my flashlights....and two borrowed my wheelbarrow to haul home the chick who passed out an hour ago.

Fortunately, they all live < 1/2 mile from here, and don't hafta cross any public roadways.

Even more fortunately: they left behind most of a quart jar of really good 'shine.

It's great to live out in the hills & hollers....

But they managed to delay the opening of my Gift Swap Package.
