Christmas gift swap!!! LAST DAY TO JUMP IN!!

those who opened theirs already to feel all alone, So,
Here is what I got:

Container of steel wool
Container of cotton balls
Vintage Opinel #7 folding knife(Very sharp)
Arrowhead Push/Utility knife with leather neck sheath
3 U.S. Flag decals
Small beverage container(I always thought of it as a doulbe shot glass)
A handful of Fatwood from the Mendocino National Forest wrapped with some 550 paracord
A Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk head(Customized) with new handle
An Altoids tin for personal survival kit, tinder etc...
A Turtle Face Bone handled knife sharpener/firesteel striker
8 Utility Clips
All sitting on top of 3 Large Natural Canvas Bags
All very handy and useful items especially since I am new to
Bushcraft and had several of these items on my wishlist.

My gift arrived yesterday while I was at work. Shook the box some today when i got home, and have been debating on whether to open it or not. I thought I might wait till everybody has theirs but I don't see me waiting till Christmas, probably open it by the end of the weekend.

More hints:

Not large.
Not pretty.
Not for the meek & mild.
The black part with the zipper is kinda stuffed.
The silver & black part has small teeth.
There's a reason for the loop on the end of the yeller piece.
With a couple of 'em, you can pinch them gently between your thumb & first finger, or you can flick 'em with your thumbnail....either way: she'll come alive! Make sure the neighbors aren't watching.
None of it contains artificial sweeteners nor causes cancer in lab rats.
As far as I can tell.

And if yer thinking about early opening, call yer travel agent & book yerself on a long guilt trip.
 
Gnarly, I got mine at about 5 o'clock and my resolve lasted all of two minutes. Before I knew what was happening I had my Leek in my hand and the rest is history.
Inside I found
1 Zebra Light H51w = Awesome
1 Kershaw Storm II 1475se complete with braided lanyard & skull keeper (glow in the dark eyeballs) = TOTALLY AWESOME
2 Ridiculously bright key chain lights - the Mrs. says thank you :)
1 Survival whistle - do not test this in your car with the windows rolled up
1 reflective wrist lanyard
About 3 dozen resealable plastic bags and a Skque carrying case that holds just about all of this and still fits in my back pocket.

I think my b.o.b. just got about 3lbs. lighter. :D:thumbup:

Sorry I can't post pics. Our camera went swimming a while back and we haven't replaced it yet.

Soooooooooo, who's next???

I kinda get a smile on my face going through the posts on here. Seems like everyone is very happy with their gifts and having a ton of fun with this. I'll definitely participate in next years swap. Evertime someone posts what they got I get more ideas about small things that I could have included in the package. Now I have more ideas for next year on what else I can stuff into the box!!

Man, that box from blademinister is just aching to be ripped open right now . . . . but 3 things keep stopping me :
1) Christmas morning excitement . . .
2) Traditional one gift allowed opened on the 24th . . .
3) What Sally T. meant if I opened it, "I would have to fall asleep sometime" . . . . :)

Woke up feeling kinda weak this morning....almost gave in....had the AGRussell One Hand in my hand & a gleam in my caffeine-craving eye....other eye matted partially shut....guess it's a good thing I gotta go work 12 today,otherwise....

Gnarly, why in the world would you want to work twelve hours on a Sunday? I spose for the same reason that I just got off work a few hours ago and will be heading back there in 14 hours. :grumpy: Gotta pay the bills somehow I spose.

a/c, my wife just put a beat down on cancer, do you really think she is gonna be afraid of me ??? . . . :eek:
Everytime I walk over to the tree and pick up that box, she starts making these snoring sounds . . . . :)

Well I had to try........and I failed. Lol

I agree that we are a bit far apart for you to crash in the extra bed. Maybe its best if you just stick to shaking the box once in a while.

Noone else yet? The temptation must be getting awfully strong for everyone. Its only a few days before Christmas now, I think it would be ok for some more people to tear open some packages? Just a little something to tide you over until its actually Christmas. Anyone?

I'm still waiting on mine so it makes it easy not to open it ;) Maybe we should wait until New Years? :D
 
Mudbug, you havent gotten your package yet? I emailed your guy last week and he told me he shipped it on the 14th? I just sent him a PM to find out whats going on.
