Edge Sharpness Tester

In my first test I had a major flaw with my measuring device. That is now corrected.

That's awesome hehe, mind if I ask what it was? Want to make sure I am not replicating that flaw!
 
Yeah, make sure your multi-weight measuring device is on the correct setting, lol.

edit: Are you guys stropping your knives at all before testing after they come off of the stones or trying it straight off of the stone? Can you test both ways and post up results?

Right off the stones, I remove the burr on the Edge Pro. :)
 
The only stropping I have done is on my palm for a single blade, I noted this in my post.

All of my other tests have been straight from the stone.
 
On a side note:

The knife I just finished and at BESS 344.5 will slice phone book paper.
 
Well if I read right you usually start with about 14 to 15lbs of pressure and this one started with 11 then yeah...me likely.

Usually in the 6 - 12 LB range for the coarse edge testing depending on geometry and blade length.
