Emberlite stainless steal or ti.

I've had my titanium Emberlit for about a year and a half and used it now a couple dozen times and I can't say enough good things about it...

my poor old one has been doing kinda regular kitchen duty for a bit .. just been too hot to bother cooking inside and heating up the house .
I been using some wood that puts out a lot of heat cooking with family sized pots , stove doesnt show any damage from the extra heat / weight , just a different color tint in the stainless .

It may be just me . But that one look's bigger than normal to me.
I bought a set of Walmart small pots you guys tricked me into buying that I have never used, but if I did the bars would be handy. Or I could drop a pair of tent stakes on top.

Here is a picture I just stole from Mikhale's website, an Emberlit on duty in Afghanistan with Shane Hunziker.

I like the way you used that brake drum!

Very pleased with my TI version!

Also have a singles walled TI cup the the SS water bottles nests in, and a double walled TI cup to insulate the resulting beverage :D...!!

Still playing with how best to use it; got some TI foil and hammered a depression in one end of a strip that I shave pitchwood onto, light it and slide it in the feed-opening to get things started.

As if that weren't enough; check out the Titanium Fire-Box Grill - Doomed I tell ya; I'm doomed...

I like the way you used that brake drum!

Its partner sits the other way up on top the bigger stove , it helps to make the dutch oven easier to cook with on it , redistributes the heat better and hods it longer or something like that .
I dont know exactly how it works but where I was burning damper and roasts on the bottom of it before , using a brake drum under it , I burn stuff less , a lot less .

River8, I just love this picture. It looks so "warm" in the winter and such a welcomed treat along the trail or out in the woods.

Thanks; but in the interest of full disclosure, we were NOT on that long of a hike...:o !

Back in the days when Mikhale was still finishing and packaging these in his kitchen , A buddy of mine came across them somewhere on the net .
I had long been telling my buddy how I'd love a small stove that just burned branches and wood you could easily find when out hiking (rather than pack in fuel) . So he sent me the link to it saying maybe we should look into them . I said "Leave it to me" and I was soon in contact with Mikhale .
I thought the concept of the stove was great and told Mikhale I hoped he would do well with them . He told me he had not had any go to Canada yet , so I bought 6 of them and said I'd get them to friends and try and spread the word . Once they got here I was so impressed I contacted him again and ordered a Titanium one for myself (the first 6 where all stainless) . He told me he had some new stainless chopsticks now too , so I bought 5 sets of those too .
I still have my Titanium stove and one stainless one and 2 sets of chopsticks and the rest where passed on to hopefully generate more interest and orders for Mikhale .
The stainless one stays in the B.O.B. in my Jeep and the titanium one is always in the pack
I use for hiking and snowshoeing . They both work great .
Other than my knife and fire steel I think the Emberlit stove is one of the best pieces of gear to have in your pack ! Thanks Mikhale

Can anyone recommend a small grill top that works well with the Emberlit? I remember seeing a few people mentioning these a while back, but haven't been able to track down those posts. Thanks!

Thanks for all this great info guys. I now have a need for one of these. It's on my birthday wish list thanks to you.

Got to use my Ti for the first time yesterday. First time for my SnowPeak Kettle 1 as well. Worked out great:
