a lb of food at a time is NOTHING, and I boil or stew,because I don't want to waste my time tending a fire, and I don't want to lose the nutrients. I also aint carrying any food items that I have to worry about spoiling in warm weather. You can need as much as 5 lbs of food per day if you are pushing hard, and I'm not stopping to make a fire 5x per day, nor sitting there 5x as long tending the fire.

I bought the Ti for the weight savings.Even though I'm primarily a truck camper I keep it in my go bag & plan to do some backpack camping when I can.

My only use of it so far was grilling a couple of Brats ( M-Day2012) & I gotta agree with everyone, the ease of use is outstanding plus you get some of the ambiance of a camp fire.

A starlit night on a river gravel bar, just you and the dog... supper is done, tea is hot... topfeed the stove and enjoy the mini-campfire without nightblinding yourself, without dodging a plume of smoke and flying embers. Better than a campfire IMHO. Coghlans campfire fork eh? Maybe I can get one before Mack gets his.
