Fiddlebacks and Food

Stupid question but where do u get the cheese :)

Serious question: Does the fact that the cheese is "exotic" add to the taste. I only say that because it's been amazing to eat "local" food as I travelled. Something about the stuff that you can't get easily being special. Not that we Americans don't love our cheese; but, the thought of choking down a brown packet of Cheese, Spreadable, with Jalapeños (fortified) kind of makes me wish I had some smoked salmon.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I've only been to Oslo in February for work, but it (and the train ride from the airport) was beautiful, so I can only imagine how it is further north. Coolest part was the families with their skis at the train stops waiting to go out and get some outdoors.

Sorry no Fiddlebacks but definitely cured my hangover

Hi Guys
Yeah the view is pretty awesome up here, nice on a sunny day and extreme on a windy and snowy day. Ill try to add more photos in the future. Been away for a while because of work and family.
I have always had distaste for photography as I think it moves the focus away from enjoying the "moment". And the fact that if you need a photograph to remember an occasion then maybe its not supposed to be a memory. Rambling I know...........
Regarding the already discussed cheese, I got some MREs while serving in Afghanistan from some american colleagues from an FST.

Not my preferred cheese but nice enough to put in a bag when you're off on a stroll. Im not picky and the coffee was nice.

Swonut: If you enjoyed the train ride Oslo you're up for an adventure up here:) No trains up here though.

Pretty much the same view as the last photo taken during winter. There was a FF Recluse involved but somehow the recluses don't like snow:

As some of you know it was my birthday on Monday. Unfortunately, I had a sick kid and was up most the night so didn't do anything for it. Well, I got home from work today and my wife had prepared a wonderful seafood dinner as a belated birthday dinner. Hope you enjoy the pictures :

Damn that looks delicious. I am so hungry now!

Hey Tek, that looks great! I wish my wife could cook like that! LOL :D

Egg samich!!! Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

I always though "sammich" was spelt with two "M"s. Maybe whoever learned you English and spellin was wrong, or whoever learned me was wrong. I don't reckon it don't really hardly make no difference. To quote Shakesphere "A sammich by any other name would taste as yummy"

That picture is making me crave a similar one this AM. Man those Fiddlebacks make great eats don't they?

I really like this thread!

An after supper snack. I'm really enjoying this nessmuk, 1/8 TT.
