scrap the cowboy and get Royal Oak. Its very reasonably priced here it's $12.XX for a 17lb and they make the charcoal for Big Green Egg which sells for twice that in a green bag. I was at Home Depot a month or so ago ago w/ Allen and bought 3 bags for $6.99 ea when it was on sale.

OK I'll check Walmart and lowes.. thanks for the heads up. It seemed like it burnt really fast aND hotter than I wanted

last time I smoked a butt for 9+hrs i still had enough left over to grill some burgers a day or 2 later. The Kamado's are very efficient though

When this nightmare of mine is over I will own a Kamado lol.. it's just going to take some time :)
