Visiting with Fernando while he's grilling:

Due to the heat we had started very early. There was time for everyone to shower and cleanup before dinner:

Nothing left to do but ride off into the sunset:

Very nice, I like that grill. Looks like the ladies worked hard and got a great meal.

Its Brother Bill's chuckwagon. He built it.

Yes they did and the guys too. No pics from this last weekend as I didn't have a spare body to man the camera, but a few from back in April:

Our patio tomatoes are starting to ripen. We also harvest some basil and other herbs. We get them right into the fall. I love me some tomato basil salad!
We used to have a big garden in the back forty, but it was getting to be too much work for an older guy, and keeping the wildlife out was a problem.

What are you eating and what's in your pocket or kitchen?. Doritos or caviar? It doesn't matter.

We have Beer and blades. But what is beer without Grub?

Dinner. Perfect for a cold fall evening.
Thanks Mr. Crock-Pot!

What is beer without food, you asked... a quicker drunk, duh! Lol

But seriously, I don't like the idea of using my pocket knives to cut food. I generally don't use them, but when I do they are cutting other inedible things that I wouldn't want to mix or taint the flavor of my food. Also I wouldn't want the grease, food particles and fat from meat getting into the inner workings of the pivot. I prefer not creating the need for maintenance where such maintenance otherwise would not be due. Besides I bought a very nice set of Victorinox kitchen and dining Cutlery to perform such tasks. But to each their own always applies.
