French regional knives...

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox Oh man, would I love to get a chance to visit the Fontenille-Pataud store. I think I could convince my wife to visit France.

I love your enthusiasm.

I cant help out with a flight,but.

How about you send me your address and I will send one of the pouches I purchased in Laguiole (if it means anything its done about 600 miles on my motorbike from Laguiole to home in England).

It is leather with a soft lining, I had my forum knife and Soduster with me and they fit perfect.

Its harder to find smaller slips as 12cm seems to be the most common knife size.

Plus I will send you the brochures I collected including the one from Foix which was my favourite shop as it had a very diverse collection of regions and style.

One workshop was in Thiers where I was invited but didnt have time to go.

If nothing else it will help you with your dreams of travelling.

You don’t need to sign up or log in for it to work.

You can upload multiple pictures at once, but I was unsuccessful reordering them into the sequence I wanted - might work on a desktop computer better. I may try it with pictures where the order doesn’t matter.

It's pretty small, I was going by the blade length but didn't count on the handle matching it...lol go figure right???
but, she is wicked sharp now!

does anyone own one of the no. 50 nontron big clog knives? i'm about to buy my first nontron and feel weirdly drawn to the giant one, but want to make sure it's not too absurdly huge before i pick it up vs. a .25. any pictures in-hand, or next to others would be really welcome and much appreciated. there are very few of the .50 at all, let alone in real contexts!
