As of now cocobolo is the only offering. I’m still hopeful that a Northfield option will be added on.

Me too! Is it normal for GEC to announce a northfield option later?

I wish I stood a snowball‘s chance in hell of grabbing one of these. I really like cocobolo,and this is one of my favorite patterns. I’ll do my best, but certainly not going to get my hopes up. Haven’t been able to manage any new GECs in years.

Thanks! Even though a cam tang isn’t my favorite these sound really great. I am going to try and get one. The wood covers, no shield, and all steel construction sound great.

This knife just sounds like a classic old time Jack knife. It brings to mind the episode of Andy Griffin where Opie wanted a Jack knife and he makes a wish with Barney’s police auction Gypsy magic kit. Then Andy gives him a used Jack knife the next day. Classic, wholesome TV.

Can I just say that this has been a great year for wood covers, starting with the #15 boys knife!

You and me thrice! There is an old Hammer/Imperial version with a cap lifter opposite the pen blade (the Hopalong Cassidy knife) whose design would fit and be outstanding on this platform. Here is a photo of someone's I found on the interwebs.

And picture the above knife on the similar 68 in ebony. I think it would be amazing.

Funny. I just noticed the rider in the GEC image compared to the Hopalong knife. This is destiny I tell you.

I spoke with Joan Mae today and she said there will only be the one cover. Bill has been known to do an addition during a run, but only time will tell as well as what they have in the plans after this one. They like to keep us on the edge.

It would be an absolute shame to wait all these years for 68s and then have them be a one variation filler...These deserve a huge run with multiple covers and blade types.

Could very well be. I should have asked her how big the run is. That would probably answer that question. I'll try to ask her when they get back in the office. They are shut down all next week.
