Gec built 2022 Remington Bullet knife

Interesting they are releasing this as the 2022 bullet knife. Wasn't that Bear and Sons Barlow also sold as the 2022 bullet knife? Then this one is released in 2023 as a 2022, seems odd.

I use my similar sized 97 at the dinner table mostly and stick it in my back pocket occasionally. This one will serve a similar purpose.

Went through the GEC “panic purchase ritual” with credit card in hand and continuous refresh hits on the SMKW site 5 min before release. Sat back with a smug smile….very pleased with myself when I saw the “Order Successful“ message. Muttered under my breath, “suckers” thinking of all you poor saps that that missed out. Hit the refresh on the knife in question….still available. “That’s weird”, I thought…A GEC available longer than 1 minute. “Surely won’t be available longer than 5 min”. 1 hr. later and the the knife is still available…still muttering “sucker” under my breath…but now that sentiment is direct at myself;).

In all seriousness I’m stoked for this one. Price is a little over my comfort zone, but I don’t have a “Grandaddy“ Barlow and bullet shields are my weakness. Hoping that everyone that wanted one is able to get one. Nice not having a GEC scramble to contend with.

I've been anxiously waiting for this release. After checking out the specs, I'm going to pass. At 4.7" it's larger than my 23, similar to a 97 (4.6"). That's simply too large for my tastes. A huge let down for me. 😔

I like larger size knives. Put in my order and looking forward to it. It’ll be a nice compliment to my Remington R1123 jumbo trapper.
 
Too big for me but if I would’ve had the money I’d buy one. It’s not often a collectible such as this becomes available. A large bullet shield Remington made by GEC. YES!
