GEC Radio Knife

Would there be any way to use the cap lifter as a can opener (or make it useable)?

I think if you ground a bevel running parallel to the mail nick and thinned out the lower point of the cap lifter you might be able to imitate the Vic combo tool which acts as both. I have 2 radio knives and might try it on one eventually.

That's about exactly what I was thinking. I'm so unsure of my ability though. It would not at all be ok if I messed it up. If you do try it, please let me know how it goes.

#15 Radio Knife – Spear/Cap Lifter with a cap end
15 Spear/Cap Tidioute Ebony Wood
15 Spear/Cap Tidioute Rust Red Jig Bone
15 Spear/Cap Tidioute Antique Yellow Jig Bone
15 Spear/Cap Tidioute Nifebrite Acrylic

Now I have an excuse to get an ebony version.

That is - one very like it!!

All right, all right! I am indeed intimidated!!

(Who is that cute little guy? Looks like my third at that age!)

The Diamond Radio is part of a three-knife SFO #15 pattern run for me, as well as other knives for other parties.

My part will consist of a Diamond Radio, a Harness Jack, and a Spear Barlow!!
All will have Jigged Bone of colors to be determined, and a few Wood handled ones. That's all my info for now.

Oh boy, glad I stumbled back into this thread. Looks like I'm going to end up with a collection of Radio knives. Who'da thunk it?

You and me both, I was about to start searching for an ebony handled radio knife and contemplating ordering a charlow. Might just hold out and combine the two now.

Yikes! I better start saving. Just when I thought I was pretty much set for a while GEC decides to release something I else "need"

Just an Internet sensation. Google "sucess" and look at the image hits.

Just to clarify a bit:
There will be three different knives in my run of SFOs.

1) A Diamond Radio (Spear and Caplifter/screwdriver)
2)A Harness Jack with a Spear and a Punch (new punch design)
3)A TC Barlow (half with pen blades, all with Spears!)

[I am not putting the "Radio Blade" in the Barlow, although
SOMEONE:rolleyes: at GEC thinks I should, and call it the Bar-room-Barlow! Sheesh!:barf:]
