Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Jack Black Jack Black - It's like I told JohnDF JohnDF ; These Lambfoot knives are just like potato chips. Just one won't do. Besides, how lonely would just one or two Lambfoot knives be without a flock to live and play with?

You're a good shepherd Ed :)

One of the knives in the group shot above is this Lambsfoot by James Howarth, which was gifted to me by knife maker Paul Mason, who had it as a boy. The background of the photo is a line drawing of Howarth's old works on Bath Street, Sheffield, the street my grandparents lived on

Nice piece of nostalgia mate, i can see why you have a love of cutlery with your families history from sheffield. How old would that Lamb Foot be? There is something magic and intriguing about old knives and tools. You have a good week my friend, and enjoy the new coffee brand.:)

Thanks a lot pal :) Always hard to say with Sheffield knives, with stamps and production methods remaining unchanged for so long. It might go back to the 1930's, but could have been made post WW2

Despite the fact that it’s 93 stinking degrees here, it’s still fall, so the mulching must be done.

Yikes! Hope you get some cooler weather soon

Thanks Jack, I can't find any info on the TEW Thompson, I'm assuming Thompson was a hardware retailer who ordered knives from Taylor's.

I would think so Rob, probably a large, regular customer, and out of Sheffield, would be my guess. I'm afraid that doesn't narrow it down much :( A quick search brought up this
