I have a picture of my mom and her siblings with a beach donkey. This isn't it:I'm not sure if they still have them? I should have a weekend in Blackpool, I haven't been there since my kids were young. The only time I've ever sat on a horse was on Blackpool beach!![]()
LOL! Brilliant Jer!![]()

I guess it's kind of easy being a weatherman in Texas?Glad to hear you're OK Rachel, great pic there

That's the sort of daft thing
The English equivalent is probably, "Well, it'll be good for the gardens." A really annoying thing to hear when it's rained all summer

Heavy storms...quick reply. No time to delete.

That's the sort of daft thing the British say about weather! When I was a kid, you could hire deckchairs at the beach, (probably still can in some places), and they also sold wind-breaks, which were called 'sun-traps'!
![]()
Looks like they still have them!
Thanks Pete![]()
That's good to hear Paul, I hope you enjoy your day offAll good here buddy

You watched it!It was longer than I expected, should have looked first (I was hoping it would be a bit more like the classic Burgess Meredith one)!
I love those old information films!
SpaceLamb! SpaceLamb!Wouldn't that make a great TV series?!
Looking good David![]()
They're an odd pair! They spend a lot of time huddled together, but never seem to speak to anyone else
I'm always taking money for him, because he's so inattentive, and frequently wanders off!I once had to tell him off, because he disappeared for over an hour. By the time he strolled back, munching a large pork pie, I had taken £45, which was more than he'd taken all day!
LOL!It wasn't my best menu decision!
The last time I was there, the nachos serving was half that size
I didn't make much of an inroad into the fries!
That's great mate![]()

Glad to hear you were taken care of Barrett, that sammich looks great!
AwwIs that how it's staying?!
Glad to hear you've been enjoying it my friend![]()
That doesn't sound fun Rachel, particularly as it's ongoingWise move on the compressor though
Wow, good crowd Pete, sounds like a great night out![]()
Good morning Guardians, had some connection problems this morning, so I'm a bit late getting online. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend
When I was buying a sourdough loaf yesterday, I also picked up some focaccia. I usually buy the seasalt and rosemary, but they had baked garlic and rosemary this week. I wasn't hungry, so just had a couple of fat slices, with some decent olive oil, and some stuff I brought back from Bulgaria. The Bulgarian tradition is to have the mixture of salt and spices with bread, which they sort of squash into it. I think my jar will be going in the bin!

I'm afraid my back is still very sore, and it's making life difficult. Putting together this darn chair didn't help, but the box took up so much space, I had to put it together. Can't say I'm very impressed with it, and I doubt it will be that long before I have to look for another
The weather is a little better here today, but I need to try and get some housework done, so I think I'm going to be indoors all day. Carrying my AlbersHope you all have a great Sunday Guardians

Oh no, hope you're ok, and back with us soon BobHeavy storms...quick reply. No time to delete.
I could make a meal of a good loaf and olive oil Jack.
Oh no....have a restful day Jack, power is going.
That's nice Jer, I can remember going on them as kids. The rides only lasted a few minutes. The donkeys had their names painted on their harnesses, and we would always try and remember their names. When I was young, many English seaside resorts hadn't changed much for more than a generation. Cool photo my friendI have a picture of my mom and her siblings with a beach donkey. This isn't it:

Pretty monotonous this time of year, but the pop-up hail storms and flash floods keep him busy in the Spring. It's a funny picture since I've never seen him sitting down.I guess it's kind of easy being a weatherman in Texas?Glad to hear you're OK Rachel, great pic there

With ceiling fans and the a.c. acting as a dehumidifier, I can't complain too much. I do have to remember to take a walk in the early morning, or I just won't do it once the sun is in full force. That doesn't sound fun Rachel, particularly as it's ongoingWise move on the compressor though

Yes, now that you mention it, it's not a position you ever see weather forecasters in!Pretty monotonous this time of year, but the pop-up hail storms and flash floods keep him busy in the Spring. It's a funny picture since I've never seen him sitting down.
It's incredible how much stuff is on thereI've been finding all sorts of interesting old stuff on youtube to watch/listen to while puttering around the house.
Good idea Rachel, I'm glad you're managing OKWith ceiling fans and the a.c. acting as a dehumidifier, I can't complain too much. I do have to remember to take a walk in the early morning, or I just won't do it once the sun is in full force.

Thank you.
And speaking of donkey rides, there was that Monty Python donkey ride where a donkey was being carried by people in swimsuits. Maybe during the filming of Scott of the Antarctic/Scott of the Sahara. ("The lion is in the contract".)
But do I remember where I put that thing just now that I was going use to to do that thing with?
