Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

How can you mess up a pot of tea?! Well, one tea bag, and enough water for four cups is a good start! 🤨

I spent the rest of the morning trying, without success, to find a half-decent cup of coffee, and when I found myself, in the rain, standing outside The Black Horse at 12.15pm, I slinked, sheepishly inside, thinking I'd be the only one there. It was packed! 😁 Lot of refugees from the steam fair, which sounds pretty horrendous 😱 Well, it'll give Tool Man something different to talk about 😉🤣👍

Does the Black Horse sell coffee?
Just curious. Looks more fun than steam engines in the rain.

Reminds me of how a couple guys used to be lost on military exercises when they would shelter from the rain under a tank, which would sink into the mud and suffocate/crush them.

Reflecting on my own journey with the Lambsfoot, I too felt the thrill of finding a fine specimen in my mailbox after a long day. It's a joy that never fades. The beauty of these blades is that they're not just for show, they're meant to be used and cherished. I remember the first time I used mine, it felt like a rite of passage. And about the heat, I've found that a simple, cold meal can be just as satisfying as a hot one. Stay cool, everyone!

Good morning Guardians. My landscape crew is out mowing the lawn and after all the rain we had it needed it! I am about to go out and do some weeding of the flower beds. It is a real chore as I will spend the morning hunched over. Thank God for Voltaren. :) Not sure which Lambsfoot I will have in the pocket today. Maybe I'll switch things up and carry my little Senator. Sharp as all heck.

Don't think so, they sell snuff! 😁 Pub coffee is almost always bad 😖👍

Hope you have a good day Bill 👍

I left the Black Horse just as a second, and much heavier, downpour arrived. Tool Man - last words: "I'm not bothered, I've got 4 wheel drive!" - is going to have some stories to tell! 🤣 I've ducked into another pub, more modern, and they have been rather stuffed by the fact their electronic till and card reader won't work due to the internet connection going down. I asked if their hand-pumps had gone down, and gave them the right change. 😉 As I write, Tool Man has just informed me that he's just arrived in a pub on the other side of town, and whining like a child that has wet its pants 😩 👌

Always so many great pictures in the Guardians thread!!!
Barrett, what a beautiful day at the ball park, and remember to share a little of that candy with the kids. :)
Jack, I love how the pot of tea picture went right to a beer shot. :)
Enjoying a beautiful day myself with a stag Lamb Foot close at hand.

Glad you have a nice day for your sweet lamb to soak up some sunshine.

Good morning Guardians !
Cassie and I got out early to the Mississippi River Dog Park. We did some exploring and took a few new trails down to the river. Cassie had a blast and I enjoyed myself as well. I'm going to be a bit sore though as it was a steep hike down and we came up the same way.

Current Lamb went on the adventure

That coat is rich looking Steve.👌 Hope you can put your feet up later.
Looks like Cassie takes to water like a duck.

He had The Lovely Lorraine go out to buy him TWO Cornish pasties! Turned out the bloody idiot wasn't on the far side of town at all, but just half a mile away. He has no sense of direction whatsoever! 🤨

Yeah, the beer was better than the tea for sure! 😁 I'm currently on my 9th pint! 😱 Great to see your AC buddy 😎👍

From that pic, I can see why you need to drink. I do hope you are enjoying yourself in spite of .......

The roots of blues.
If it wasn't for the Slave Negroes and the Dirt poor we would not have music today as we know it. From all the beautiful voices that came from Church choirs and the guitar skills and voices from the poor came the Blues. The forerunner to Rockabilly, Rock n' Roll then Rock. All the other genres sprung up from here. Buddy Holly, one of the most influential musicians of all time inspired the Beatles and Mick Jagger and the stones, 2 pretty influential bands you would have to say, Buddy got his love for music from the Blues. 👌
