These are 8670 Carbon steel, SS liners/bolsters, bronze washers. Modeled after an A. Wright and Sons Sheffield lambs foot. The markings were made using a Gravograph pantograph engraver manually with scratch bit on top of a resist, then electro etched. The same technique was used on the leather slips I made to 'scar' it to show the letters. One is iron wood, one is double red canvas micarta, and the shadow pattern is olive drab green canvas micarta with brass pins, birdseye pivot

What a fantastic story KenSome years ago, half a dozen friends of mine, all born in 1969, organised a collective party. It was akin to a festival, which lasted a week, and I was in charge of the bar. One afternoon, a young couple came in to volunteer for a shift that night. I had met him before, but not his girlfriend, a young, softly-spoken posh girl, the female equivalent of him really. They told me that she had never tried Buckfast, but she was going to try it that night. I confided that I had never drank it myself, and the young lady told me she would let me know how she found it. Around 11pm, they returned to do their shift behind the bar. The young man was enormously apologetic about the foul-mouthed, staggering drunk, he was half holding up, and half restraining. Clearly, she was in no fit state to work the bar. I broached the subject as diplomatically as possible, and received a torrent of abuse from a snarling hellcat, while her embarrassed other half, apologised profusely, trying to escort her away. In the end I just had to throw her out! The next day, the monster had sobered up, and was back, again with her boyfriend, apologising at length, and begging forgiveness

And a Happy Birthday to you, Leon!Mate i have seen and been in the company of blokes who can have 10 beers and be fine, some of them good company. But give them the 11th and they will stab someone in the face with a broken glass, absolutely frightening. Some should just not imbibe at all. That's my thought for this Friday. Have a good one everyone.![]()
Thank you Dwight!Very nice grain on that one David.![]()

Had my traditional (to me) cigar on Columbus Day (October 12). I always remember it because it's one day after my wedding anniversary and one day before my birthday. May have another tomorrow (it's late on the 12th here in Texas)!
