Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Just take your time and do it in stages. Good luck
Thank you sir. I'm in no hurry and want this one to be as perfect as I can get it.... Figure start with a piece of 220 or maybe a little rougher and just set it on the table and try to take it down nice and easy.

I still have to figure out how to do the pivot pin after putting the file groove in the bolster, and make some kind of jig to do a swedge. One thing at a time, lol.

Nice horn Rick :)
Thanks! It looks better in person than my junk phone pictures. Very pretty stuff. It'll be interesting to see it all together and polished up!

I'm not getting into anything heavy duty today, so soupy came along to work with me. I'm still in the "it's too nice to trash it at work" mentality with this one. It still looks the same so I'll spare the repeated photos for today.

Have a good day everyone. Happy Friday and hope everyone is happy & healthy.

The horns showed up and they look fantastic. It's going to be hard to position the covers just right in that nice design!
Unfortunately there is a lot of thinning to do... It's going to be a long haul to get it to the right thickness.

Nice K'roo and nice model 74 also. I've never fired one of these but had owned a 47 for a nunber of years. Very reliable. Still have the bayonet that was given to me by an old friend after one of his tours over in Iraq.

We used to get 1000 7.62's for $140. I can't even imagine what that would cost today, lol.
That is some gorgeous horn there!

Ahh the good old days of 14 cent a round. 👍👍
Nice photos Pete. 😎👍
Thanks Todd!
Thanks Pete, great pic
Thank you Jack

Good morning Guardians, there's a bunch of stuff I could do with doing today, but I have a couple of deliveries coming at some point, so I need to check those first. Still carrying my Albers Lamb :) I love this sheath that Jeremy sbh06 made for me :) Have a good Friday Guardians
Nothing like a simple Coca Cola on ice from time to time. That straw makes it look better for some reason. Albers lamb is looking mint along with that wonderful slip. Hope your having a great Friday buddy 😃.
Evening all
Thanks Jack🙂
The wife is a bad influence. Kristy brought home chicken schnitzel from work that had to be cooked. She crumbs them herself. So I ate too much .😋

Toffee Wings !!!!!!
Mornin, John. TGIF buddy.

Nice to see Old Toffee Wings Jer :)
Thank you Barrett. :)

Jeremy does good work... Hope you're having a good day my friend. 🤠
Thanks a lot pal :)I sat out with the intention of going into town, and having a Thai lunch, but ended up spotting a storage unit I could use for knives, and another I could use for Knife magazines. They were too heavy to carry around town though, so I came home. I soon filled them, and then a delivery came with a storage walllet for my DVDs, which Barrett had inspired me to buy :)

It holds 180 DVDs, so it's taken all my 'A's, and most of the 'B's, but I still have a lot more, and the wallets are £30 a pop. Hoping I can find them a bit cheaper  I was surprised to see how much empty DVD cases sell for on the bay, but I haven't got the time or space, so they're in the bin! I did offer them to Nobber Al, but he's in the same boat. Time and space eh? :D
Happy slicing John :)
Looks good Jack, though everything looks better sitting next to that fine Albers.
Thank you very much Jeremy :)

I hope it all goes smoothly Rick :)

Thanks, kind of old-fashioned - like me! :D
Thanks, Paul. I do feel blessed to have been born in Texas.
It's like the Yorkshire of the USA Vince! 🤣 ;)

Happy Friday Guardians. I was thinking of Jack’s question if you could have just one lambsfoot which would you choose? This morning I whittled ( pun intended ) my picks down to my top three. Here’s one of my top three made by Bobby Toole. It is 3 7/8” closed. The blade is 2 3/4” and is CPM 154 with SS liners. The blade has the “classic” shape of the A. Wright knives and has the same shaped kick. The covers are really nice paper micarta. This one has a well done shield. This knife keeps pretty close to my idea of a good old lambsfoot. Next picks upcoming.
