Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks, Jack!! It's put all my other EDCs on hold!!!
I can see that happening my friend! :D
Thanks Jack. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Glad to do it. πŸ‘

The slip and bead are great additions.
πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Thanks buddy :) :thumbsup:πŸ‘
Hey, after having 26 Albers Lambs on my workbench last week, what’s one more, right? πŸ˜‰πŸ€£

I’m absolutely kidding, of course. I fully appreciate how special and hard-to-come-by these knives are. I was honored to have temporary custody of all the Guardians Lambs before they went out to all of you, and I’m very fortunate I was able to get ahold of the Ringed Gidgee (I even got it for a fair price!).
When I had temporary custody of the 2017 Guardians Lambs, the smell of the horn was so strong, it woke me up in the night! I started shipping them out the next day! :D

🀣
Glad it made it, Jack, and I’m thrilled that you like it! Happy Birthday to Mrs. Singh!
Thanks once again my friend :) My mate Matt was just round, and I was showing it off! :D Mrs Singth enjoyed her birthday. She has six children, and the only one who came is Minda, who currently lives with her, but she said we are all her family :)

(I’m just now realizing I should have done a new happy-birthday-spelled-out-in-knives pic when I had all the Guardians knives here…) 🀣
πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ‘
Great pics! 😎
Thanks mate :)
That seems to be happening at a lot of places lately, less food for more money. 🫀
Yeah, too right! πŸ€¨πŸ‘
I hope the Micarta gets the Tool Man stamp of approval! 😁 Looks really nice with that olive green leather, I think!
I'm sure it will Barrett :) Now, Boring Ray is of Polish lineage, and had holidays in Iron Curtain Poland throughout the 60's and 70's, so there's a possibility of him having something to say about the Polish elevator Micarta  However, I'd say the odds are at least 100-1 he won't, and if he does, there'll be an extremely boring story behind it, which he'll tell badly! :D
It’s funny, I have a few of his slips, and I always get them with the eyelet like that, but I’ve never actually put a lanyard on any of mine! 😁
LOL :D The eye is a good place to put a tether too :) But sometimes 'less is more' ;) :D
Here’s another updated group pic with your knife tagged.

LOL! :D Sweet Taylor :)
Both Charlie and Eric have a significant historical place in the American knife lore now. We probably don't appreciate or realize it at the moment, but time will show it.
I fully agree Leon. I remember saying, when Charlie had his first Barlow made, that I thought people would be talking about those knives in a hundred years, and I still believe it is true, and is true of Eric's knives too  :)
A ton of character in your covers there Jack!
Thanks a lot Taylor :)
Got a Space πŸ‘ in the other day. Sure is a unique knife.

Nice  At the time of their production, I wonder if Jim Parker was the only one who knew that was a Lambsfoot blade

Sure looks good πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ€
Thank you my friend :)
Thanks buddy πŸ‘πŸ€

True that πŸ‘ I remember that Daniel Boone supposedly said " I never been lost but I was turned around one time for three days" 🀣

Hope you have a good time Jack πŸ‘πŸ€
LOL! :D Thanks David, nice to see some of my neighbours, and have a chat with them. There was lots of nice food, cake, and Mrs Singh was as happy as Larry :)

Thank you John, great pics  It's unusual to see a bail on a Lamb  I think that one will have been made at the Joseph Elliott & Son factory, in Sheffield, and I may actually know the feller who made the bolsters, which were stamped out with a press back then :) It's a great-looking worker's knife
Smashing pic Steve :)

Thats very interesting I thought it was over 100 years old?

Is he still around to ask,I wonder why they put a bail on it.

I do like it though.

With all the recent excitement and activity around here, I completely forgot to post this other new Lambsfoot addition I got in the mail yesterday.

I’ve wanted one of these Albers Lambs in Ringed Gidgee for a while now. These were released on the same drop (Eric’s second Lambsfoot drop, I believe) as the Afzelia Burl, and I opted for that one instead. I certainly don’t regret that decision β€” the Afzelia Burl, in addition to being my first Albers Lambsfoot, has been my favorite and most carried one β€” but the Ringed Gidgee was a close second for me on that drop, so I’m happy to have one now. πŸ™‚ (It may be a while, though, before it kicks the 2024 Guardians Lamb out of my pocket!) 😁
Very nice a "Ringed Gidgee" sounds like a exotic bird from the rainforest, what is it exactley? 😁

Fascinating, I’ll take as much knowledge like that as you can give.

I didn't take a pic of the burger I just wolfed down, but it was a darn sight better than the burger my unlucky mate from last night, Jilted John, had in the pub! It was absolutely TINY! When we checked the menu, it was 3oz! Came with a couple of strips of lettuce, and some rotten fries, and cost over Β£10! πŸ˜– That lad wants to make sure he doesn't walk under any ladders!

Market Day tomorrow, so I need to get my things ready for then. I don't want to forget to put a card in my camera again, and I have something for Boring Ray's stall I forgot last week. Naturally, I'll be carrying my new knife :) I think Tool Man will find the Micarta interesting

Barrett included a couple of other things for me, one of which was this handsome leather slip

Does Boring Ray know hes called boring Ray?

I must have a lot of brothers because ive met a lot of boring people over the years...maybe I am called boring John behind my back. 🀣 🀣 🀣

Thanks, guys! The Ringed Gidgee is a beautiful wood, even better in person, with tons of depth and movement and character.

I loved the light colored wood on that one, Bob, though I have to admit I can’t remember what it is.

Glad it made it, Jack, and I’m thrilled that you like it! Happy Birthday to Mrs. Singh! (I’m just now realizing I should have done a new happy-birthday-spelled-out-in-knives pic when I had all the Guardians knives here…) 🀣

I’m glad you like it, Charlie! I know when it comes to traditional knife handle materials, Micarta doesn’t have quite the same history as, say, bone, stag or wood, but I think the vintage Micarta at least bridges that gap a bit (and it just looks cool, too!).

It’s funny, I have a few of his slips, and I always get them with the eyelet like that, but I’ve never actually put a lanyard on any of mine! 😁

πŸ˜†that Ringed Gidgee is cool, yep should have taken more pics ah well there is always 2025.

You know an s-biner would work on those pocket slips, they look well made.

I haven't carried a lambsfoot for some time, but today I carried my old favorite. I think I've edc'd this knife continuously, for longer than any other knife, but it's been over a year since the last time.

The stag lamb today

Not the best that Wrights has done. I'm actually not sure how they manage to get the bolsters to be different sizes. I have a fondness for imperfect knives, as long as they work as intended, the aesthetics can be a little off.

It always brings back memories of the hospital project I worked on in Alturas, CA - I specialize in resilient flooring installations, primarily in healthcare - been at it for 26 years now. Found out later that Modoc ED Modoc ED lives near there! Ed, if you ever go to that hospital and notice any crummy workmanship on the flooring, it was one of the other guys! 🀣

That was at the beginning of the pandemic. A lot of people were forced to stay home, but we were rockin and rollin nonstop all the way through the shutdown. BTW, Modoc County, along with the city of Alturas, is a gorgeous place! I remember it snowed quite a bit then, even in March.

Here's a Pic of Buzz Lightyear one morning. At the time, my son loved Buzz. Looks like he really did go to infinity and beyond!

Got a chuckle out of the buzz bit!

I was going to say the covers look more like bone than antler, then remembered antler is bone. As bone covers they look quite good, without the again and pearling of a decent set of antlers though it’s a bit disappointing. Still a nice lamb πŸ‘πŸΌ

I will throw my name into the hat for the milestone guardians GAW. Here is a photo of my first lamb, this pattern has quickly become my favorite after following this thread, definitely need to add more examples to give this lamb some friends to graze with.
