Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I will throw my name into the hat for the milestone guardians GAW. Here is a photo of my first lamb, this pattern has quickly become my favorite after following this thread, definitely need to add more examples to give this lamb some friends to graze with.

The 88 ace is probably my all time favourite GEC (on par with the forum bunny but I won’t discuss that here). Always keeping an eye open for one to pop up. Beautiful piece mate 👍🏼

Good evening Guardians! I have many traditional lambs but only one the Michael May says he makes based on a design by Trevor Ablett. The “Ergonomic” handles I find to be comfortable in hand but somewhat odd looking to my eyes. Though I’m sure that there are threads about them I don’t see them very often. Does anyone else have one and what are your thoughts about them?

Got a chuckle out of the buzz bit!

I was going to say the covers look more like bone than antler, then remembered antler is bone. As bone covers they look quite good, without the again and pearling of a decent set of antlers though it’s a bit disappointing. Still a nice lamb 👍🏼
It did have some brown coloring on it along with some scratchiness but I sanded it out, keeping the same general shape, so it does have some texture. It wasn't quite as bad as Jack Black Jack Black 's stag knife, but close!

Very nice. The black linen is the star of the show in the 88s for me.
I'd definitely agree with you there. The black linen with that shield is pretty much perfection, but I wouldn't mind picking up one of those white yetis versions as well. Those turned out really nice as well.

I can see that happening my friend! :D

Thanks buddy :)👍

When I had temporary custody of the 2017 Guardians Lambs, the smell of the horn was so strong, it woke me up in the night! I started shipping them out the next day! :D

🤣

Thanks once again my friend :) My mate Matt was just round, and I was showing it off! :D Mrs Singth enjoyed her birthday. She has six children, and the only one who came is Minda, who currently lives with her, but she said we are all her family :)

🤣🤣👍

Thanks mate :)

Yeah, too right! 🤨👍

I'm sure it will Barrett :) Now, Boring Ray is of Polish lineage, and had holidays in Iron Curtain Poland throughout the 60's and 70's, so there's a possibility of him having something to say about the Polish elevator Micarta  However, I'd say the odds are at least 100-1 he won't, and if he does, there'll be an extremely boring story behind it, which he'll tell badly! :D

LOL :D The eye is a good place to put a tether too :) But sometimes 'less is more' ;) :D

Thanks a lot mate :)

Sweet as a nut! :)

Many thanks Leon, enjoy your cuppa pal :)

LOL! :D Sweet Taylor :)

I fully agree Leon. I remember saying, when Charlie had his first Barlow made, that I thought people would be talking about those knives in a hundred years, and I still believe it is true, and is true of Eric's knives too  :)

Thanks a lot Taylor :)

Nice  At the time of their production, I wonder if Jim Parker was the only one who knew that was a Lambsfoot blade :thumbsup:
I wonder if Parker knew it was a lambsfoot, or if the blade that fit his shuttle silhouette just happened to be a lambsfoot.
[Looks like we can't quote a portion of a post anymore, and bolding the selected portion doesn't bring it to the fore in the quote.]

First Barrett, I'm still overwhelmed by the surprise GL-24.🥳
The lamb has maple burl for scales.

Thanks, Bob! Should’ve figured it was maple, as light as the color is. Looks great!

Posted this in a wrong thread 😑

Hey, you made it to the right place in the end. 😁

“You still wake up sometimes, don’t you? You wake up in the dark and smell the stinking of the Lambs.”

Looks like Mrs. Singh had a nice party. 🙂

You had me at “holidays in Iron Curtain Poland” 🤣

Catch up when I get back from the market Guardians :) Enjoy your Thursday :)

Watch that chip butty sticker around Tool Man, he might try to eat it! 😁

Very nice a "Ringed Gidgee" sounds like a exotic bird from the rainforest, what is it exactley? 😁

Thanks, John. It’s a species of acacia tree native to Australia. I think “ringed” denotes wood with a curly or stripped figuring. It is sort of a funny sounding name, but better than one of its other names (according to Wikipedia), “stinking wattle.” 🤣

Doing some maintenance. It’s essential. 👍🏻

Nice pic, Pete. I’ve got a Glock 21 in that same green color, but I think all the magazines it came with are black.

Thanks Barrett. I am a big fan of Gaston’s pistols. 42? Parts total if I’m not mistaken. 🙌🤠💥

A pistol is a novelty I’ve not had the privilege of.

Do you hunt Barrett?

I only hunt clay pigeons. 😁 Did a lot of fishing growing up, and I still like to do that when I can, but I didn’t really come from a hunting family so it was just never something I got into. I do enjoy all sorts of shooting, though.

Easy to clean, take apart and maintain, that’s for sure, and I love the low bore axis.:thumbsup:
