It's changed fast Bob! Here, the weather has been strange, it was cool enough to wear a jacket before lunch, and now it's positively sweltering! Wolfie told me it was absolutely roasting in Sicily. He is bald as a billiard ball, Irish, and originally ginger, so he could have done with the hat I gave him for going away!

Thanks Jack. From now until next June, the beaches will be quiet once again, since all the visitors have left.

That must be a considerable relief my friend

Wolfie started going bald age 14, and has shaved his head since his teens. I've never seen him with hair, but a mutual pal, who once shared a house with him, had seen a photo of the teenage Wolf. Apparently, he had both the hairline, and the hair, of an ageing Art Garfunkel! Thankfully, all his kids have their mother's hair!

I know that I have been AWOL for quite a while. Life has been incredibly busy, and I think it's finally slowing down! It all started with my daughter getting married in Hawaii, and then went to budget season at work as soon as I returned from that trip!
I have been trying to catch up, but it's going to take quite a while!

When I was a kid and a teenager I used to have my hair thinned at the hairdresser because it was so thick. They used to always comment “you’ll never go bald”. Then toward the end of high school - would have been 17 1/2 - I started having a heap of hair falling out in the shower. 33 and I’m bald, no matter I got a ring on the girlfriend (near 8 years married) so she can’t get away. No need for looks anymore!
