Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Dave, that's my motto!:thumbsup: (Actually, I have a whole series of "just say no" mottos: Just say no to norovirus, drugs, fashion, fixed blades, extended warranties, ... :D) The problem is I'm not always very good about practicing what I preach! :(
Yeah, I said to the wife this summer when we purchased a new vehicle, just say NO to an extended warranty. We ended up with $600 3M protection film instead!

Apologies for my absence folks. One of my Christmas guests left me with a rather nasty norovirus :( Happy New Year Guardians :

Thanks for all the kind words folks :) I'm real sorry not to starting the year off with you all :( I'm still pretty ill I'm afraid, but hoping it won't go on more than another 24 hours

Jack, so sorry to hear of your illness, I hope you are quickly on the mend. I've been getting caught up here and it has just been lovely seeing your Ironwood Lambsfoot, hopefully arranging the SFO will not be nearly as taxing as it was last year for you.

My New Year's Day mid-day meal for 27 years now.
Happy New Year, Guardians!

A fantastic looking meal, Vince. Tamales are one of the many things that I could eat too many of before realizing my mistake. They are quite tasty.

I was hoping he'd go into production. You never know, might still come ;) I wonder where Chin has wandered off to, I miss his posts?

I miss Chin too, I've been meaning to send him an email for a bit now. Perhaps now that things have slowed down a bit after the holidays, I can stop procrastinating and get one sent off.

Yeah, I've eaten too many myself. Try to limit myself to three at a time now!
There was an old gentleman selling homemade tamales out of a cart on the square in Santa Fe last time we were there. Oh my what a spectacle I made of myself. Kind of like the time I was coming out of a little mom n pop store on the outskirts of Abilene. An old fellow in a wheel chair was outside with a styrofoam ice chest in his lap full of hot tamales his wife had just made for him to sell. I bought seven and sat in the truck and ate em. Before I left the parking lot all of his tamales were in my camper and he was finished for the day. All God's children were happy. :)

Thanks Dylan, it certainly hasn't been the best start to 2019, but I am definitely on the mend now. Still feel tired and have no appetite, but I don't feel as groggy as I did, even if I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards! :D Please give Chin my best :)

Thinking about summer. My Lambsfoot was a great lime slicing companion for some Rum.

Ah yes Taylor, roll on summer! :)

No worries Jack, All is fine here, get well first.

Thanks a lot Russell

Have had the 2018 Ebony with me today.

Another excellent pic Dylan, and that looks like a tasty brew

I've never eaten a tamale, but hope to one day :)

Great story Dwight :D  Before I was ill, I visited the city of York, where one of the museums has some Victorian amusement machines on display (No, not THAT kind!). They run on clockwork mechanisms, you put a coin in, and they start up and go through a short sequence, with sounds as well as motion. I thought you might like to see this one

Thanks Ron, lovely pic there :) It's going to take me a while to catch up, but I've got the important things done - getting Russell and John's Lambsfoot knives packaged up! :D
