Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I hope everyone is having a good day πŸ™‚ My internet access was bad again this morning, and my neighbour is just changing over to another company, so I think I'll do the same πŸ˜‰ I didn't get my boring emails done, partly down to the wifi, but mainly down to the good weather, and the fact a friend texted me to ask if I fancied a coffee in town 😁 We had an hour together, and then I headed home, got my parcel delivery, and then went out again. Back in town, I picked up some shaving stuff, and had a samosa, which was actually the first thing I'd eaten for more than 24 hours. I was surprised to bump.into a friend from Bradford, so we also went for coffee and a natter. I then continued my shopping, picking up a new pair of Skechers, and I decided to go for food, rather than cooking at home. It's so nice outdoors still, I'm tempted to go to the pub! πŸ˜πŸ‘

I'm glad I wasn't too stubborn to dig out some fleece-lined jeans yesterday. 19 degrees felt pretty cold.

Yeah, not out of the woods yet Jer πŸ‘
Thanks Steve and Jack. I got a guy to build up the tang by welding and then ground it back down. The action is a little rough, but, it is useable.
This is still my favourite.

Well done Dan, you have done a great job I think :) Fabulous Charlie Lamb, of course πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

I now have to wear reading glasses to edit photos. It makes me feel so old. Feeling so old makes my heart feel so black and as though it contains a perpetual storm of swirling and agitated dust.

My father said my vision is declining because I haven't been getting sufficient amounts of Vitamin A and sent me a big bag of spirulina chlorella tablets. My father was not an eye doctor. He was a public-telephone repairman. Still, I'll give the tablets a try.

Cool pic Will  You need to embrace your inner Owd Git, and don't go overboard on the shark's liver

Wow, fantastic work Dan, well done  I watched a video recently where a guy used two screwdrivers when peening a rattail bolster. He laid the stem of each screwdriver in the groove of the bolster, put it against the stiddy, and hammered the top screwdriver, then reversed the knife to do the same again πŸ‘

Wish I would have thought of that, next time.
Thanks again, Jack.

Cool patch David, my mind wanders more than my feet these days! πŸ˜πŸ‘
Happy Double Lambsfoot Day! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘
I just checked. It is Vitamin A, an overdose of which kills you if you eat polar bear liver.

LIke the pic Jer! 😁 I remember reading about one of Shackleton's expeditions where they got Vitamin A poisoning, and realised that what they had thought was snow sloshing inside their boots was actually the soles of their feet that had come off! 😱
Sweet pic Will πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Wish I would have thought of that, next time.
Thanks again, Jack.

Great to see your growing flock Dan πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

You really captured the jigging there Bob πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Thanks buddy. I understand. My mind seems to wander quite a bit nowadays 😁

I'd rather keep my feet and do without the band of brothers.
The British do love a heroic disaster! πŸ™„

Oates: "I hear Amundson's taking dogs to the pole skipper."

Scott: "Dogs?! What does he know, bally Norwegian? We'll take ponies!"

With the sunny weather here, the fairweather traders were back standing again at Leeds Market, and it looked a lot better as a result. Tool Man was in good spirits, and had a few sales. Even Boring Ray was more cheerful than usual. Big J stopped by, as did Ex-Para Steve, but they were the only visitors while I was there. Tool Man went in search of a 'Growler' (a medium-sized pork pie), and I went with him for a walk through the indoor market. We went to visit Our Cake Man, but the stall was being tended by his stupid assistant Adam, who is devoid of conversation, sensible or otherwise. Tool Man bought himself a large custard tart. Back at the stall, Tool Man gave Boring Ray a quarter of the pork pie, and wolfed down the rest with HP Sauce. I decided to head off to get home for my parcel, and for Wolfie, who is coming round for coffee. Just as I was having a few minutes with Nobber Al, Gravel turned up, so I had a quick chat with him too, before bidding everyone farewell until next week. Predictably, Wolfie has just rang to say he'll be late because Evil Karen has sent him on a mission πŸ™„
