Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, struggling with my wifi again today πŸ€” I have a parcel due at midday, so I better hot-foot it to the market. Have a great day Guardians πŸ‘

I'd rather keep my feet and do without the band of brothers.

Lovely grain on Rosebeast !

With the sunny weather here, the fairweather traders were back standing again at Leeds Market, and it looked a lot better as a result. Tool Man was in good spirits, and had a few sales. Even Boring Ray was more cheerful than usual. Big J stopped by, as did Ex-Para Steve, but they were the only visitors while I was there. Tool Man went in search of a 'Growler' (a medium-sized pork pie), and I went with him for a walk through the indoor market. We went to visit Our Cake Man, but the stall was being tended by his stupid assistant Adam, who is devoid of conversation, sensible or otherwise. Tool Man bought himself a large custard tart. Back at the stall, Tool Man gave Boring Ray a quarter of the pork pie, and wolfed down the rest with HP Sauce. I decided to head off to get home for my parcel, and for Wolfie, who is coming round for coffee. Just as I was having a few minutes with Nobber Al, Gravel turned up, so I had a quick chat with him too, before bidding everyone farewell until next week. Predictably, Wolfie has just rang to say he'll be late because Evil Karen has sent him on a mission πŸ™„

Glad to hear that there was good weather for market day, thanks for the report πŸ‘

and I ended up meeting up with my pals in the nearby town of Huddersfield, rather than the village of Slaithwaite, 5 miles or so on the other side. We had a few pints, and some reasonable food, and I got to wake up in my own bed, which I appreciate more and more as I get older
Jack, I was intrigued by the name of the town Slaithwaite and forgot to google it until just now. Have added it to the ever-growing list of places you mention that I'd like to see with my own eyes. Even though you skipped it for Huddersfield, Slaithwaite looks like a lovely town with an an impressive high altitude viaduct! Also interesting to note it is a stop on the Trans Pennine Real Ale Trail, which apparently I need to learn more about. A mid-distance pub tour via train seems something right up my alley.

Haven't carried this 88 lately as she's wrapped up for safekeeping, but I thought I'd show a photo with some Texas flair today. Sun is shining and it is going to be 88F as a high temp! Cheers, Guardians. I hope everyone has a happy Thursday evening. I'm going to an early dinner with an old friend tonight who is working on a book. Visiting a restaurant I haven't been to in 20+ years.

Nice looking grain, enjoy your warm weather πŸ‘

Very slick indeed Steve πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Cool pic Bob πŸ€πŸ˜πŸ‘

Thank you Duncan, I hope your ears haven't been burning! 😁 I bumped into a neighbour who was heading over to York for a couple of days, and I was telling her about how much fun we had. Then today, York came up again, and so I mentioned you again πŸ™‚πŸ‘

You do that kind of thing here sometimes too Bob! Never happened when I was a kid! πŸ€”

You are all very kind to me πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Great pic Dave πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Actually, I was walking down the street and these real sharp agonizing shards of pain went through my back, bringing me to my knees Jack, 🀣

Both trips to York have been great- all except for those darned steps at the Train Station! I can bet you there has been sooooo many people going down them!
