Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Edited as suggested I thought not providing a link covered it.

Thank you Will, here's the sub-forum guidelines on the issue

"In order to avoid Terms Of Service (TOS) violations, please omit links or referrals to vendors within the forum. ("Deal Spotting" is a violation of the TOS.)
We want the forum to focus upon the discussion of traditional knives...not the purchasing process, prices nor vendors and their websites.

The exception to the rule above is that you may refer other members to vendors who support bladeforums.com via a "Dealer" membership.

Otherwise, if someone inquires where you made a purchase, please take a moment to provide them with the requested information via email or PM.
Do not publish prices or links within the threads as this may be construed as shilling for a particular vendor and violate the TOS.
"

Sorry about the coloured ink, couldn't easily get rid of it as it originally denoted hyperlinks

Very interesting and educational Jack. I love learning something new. So I am assuming J.D.Ware was embarking on making lambsfoot knives?

Thanks Dwight, actually Jerry under-blades all his folders. However, he did make this interesting knife

How long ago was that, Jack?
I was just outside with Dutch and these Pronghorns were grazing about 150- 200 yards out on the rancher's land. Several of the does were curious and began to come toward us. I took these photos to document the event.

It would have been in the first half of the 1980's Preston, when our gun laws were RELATIVELY relaxed  Those are cool pics, it must be great having all that open country :)

Amazing pics Dwight, I knew we would see some great ones of the Damascus knives here :)

Cool key-fob Vince, goes nicely with your AC

The home inspector was here this morning, we will know on Thursday if its a go. I sure don't want to go through this stress again that's for sure.
Oh yeah, my wife booked a hearing test in Calgary for me on Monday, I don't know why? :D

Allow me Jack to lay some more knife content on this baby - :D - View attachment 1107708

Outstanding Dwight, keep 'em coming! :)

I can tell how excited you are Dwight. And rightfully so. I’ve grown accustomed to the apparent fact that covers on these Sheffield Lambs don’t always match. I see it now as a plus. On yours, each side is gorgeous. A beautiful brown on one side, and a handsome black on the other. Photographically speaking, it’s like having two knives. And the Damascus pattern is out of this world on all of these knives. Happy for you my friend, as well as the others.

Jack Black Jack Black deserves big time Kudos for his vision in creating this project. Simply Brilliant, Jack.

As for hearing, funny or strange as it might sound, I cherish my hearing loss. Half the the things I hear, I wish I didn’t.:)

Thanks Harvey, it is an exhausting process trying to drag the Sheffield cutlers into the 19th century  ;)

I don't think they really understand about matching stag. At one time the big Sheffield firms would have had someone who dealt with that perhaps. I'm not sure Wright's even pair it in advance, they may do, but it might be that the cutler just picks pieces out of a box. I'll try bringing it up, but I always have a long list of what, though they aren't, sound like complaints. I'd be happy to spend a couple of hours matching their stag up for them

A most apropos post my friend. I love the disparate scales for the exact reasons you stated. An I concur on your salute to our Jack Black. He has been on a roll the past couple of years. Like a rocket on rails. Thank you Harvey.

Thanks Dwight, it's not always been easy

I figure that's what's going to happen to me :( The one problem I have had for at least 30 years is ringing in the ears. One day I realized they were ringing 24/7
and has never stopped  If it's too quiet in the house it can just about drive you over the bend, so I always have some sort of white noise on a fan or air cleaner unit going.

That's a terrible thing Dave, I have another pal with the same problem :( I'm amazed that my own hearing has survived seemingly intact, at the moment, it's one of the few things that still works as it should! :D

Maybe I'll make you a tape to play in the quiet moments my friend, with the words 'DON'T FORGET THE LAMBSFOOT CONTENT!' endlessly repeating! ;) :D

Yeah, I sleep with the fan on.

It can be quite hilarious sometimes communication between the wife and I :p

:D

Thanks for the pic ;) :)

I’ve had hearing difficulties all my life. Originally it was from a wax build up in the inner ear(not from dirty ears, silly:)). This led to a lifetime of ENT visits. I didn’t help matters by overexposing myself to loud music, playing in a band, and constantly assauting my hearing, listening with headphones.

I can’t do anything about all the cilia I’ve destroyed, but I have been taught a way cleaning my ears with Debrox, water, and a bulb plunger. I’m too stubborn to get a hearing aid.

Ok, Ok... Lambsfoot content.:)

Nice pic of the ebony with figs.

Beautiful lambs abound today. Congratulations to all you Guardians that have received your Damascus examples. They’re all very beautiful knives! I hope to have mine in hand sometime in the near future. It has been doing a lot of traveling. It’s even been received and departed from the same USPS facility two times in two days. At least it’s in the correct state for now. I’ve got an Ebony for today. Hope y’all have a great day! :)

Neat Derringer in that well composed photo, what make is it?
I have used that same cleaning method and it has helped. Having lost high frequency hearing above 7000 Hz, I do try to protect what hearing I have left.

Good shot of your 'Black Sheep', Jack. It is nice to be able to enjoy firearm ownership and have access to a nice place to use them. I love the wide open spaces and go into town only when I have to. With so many products available by internet

Mark, your Lambsfoot's Ironwood looks so smooth and satiny, great photo.
Good Morning Guardians

Hope your Damascus Lambsfoot arrives soon, Ron. That nice Ebony one will suffice...at leas for a while.

Guardians, it's not a nice morning here, fog, drizzle and the threat of rain and snow today and tomorrow. Tracking shows that my Damascus Lambsfoot left the UK on the 5th...but, nothing since then. Oh well, I do have a few toys to play with:D:thumbsup: Hope your day is a good one.

Sorry to hear about the weather, hope you have a good day anyway Preston :) Tracking can be unreliable, hope you get your Damascus soon :)

It was pretty cool here this morning, but the afternoon is completely different, gorgeous, sunny weather. Unfortunately, I am struggling, after a virtually sleepless night last night :(

Thank you Jack, sorry about your restless, sleepless night. Do you have any clue as to what might have caused it?
I realize that tracking can only happen if the package goes through a facility that has scanning and the route USPS takes to me maybe includes a black hole/void:rolleyes: The '19 Guardian's Lambsfoot took longer than most, so it's reasonable that this one too will take time.
