I dont think there is such a thing as "the one" in this collection habitThere will always be the next great knife steel or blade shape or handle or locking.....etc!! This is an addiction much like a woman buys shoes or handbags
We buy knives!!! more is
good or we "consolidate" which is just an excuse to BUY MORE KNIVESin the search for "the one". Anyways, I have fun chasing "the one" and enjoy the hunt.
Yyes mine too para 2
For the last few years I've had a different knife every few weeks and no particular attachment to any one.
Then, a few months ago, I got my first Al Mar SERE 2000. It got 5 or so weeks of pocket time, until I finally scored a Para2 after hunting for weeks to find one. That was a couple months ago, and I still have the Para2 in my pocket.
My next knife will be a Chris Reeve folder, but it will take me a long time to save the 'fun money' to drop $500 on a folder. I'm betting the Para2 will be "the knife" for a long time to come.

The Izula 2 for me. I love that thing. It's the one knife I'll carry with no actual intent on using it. I just like it.![]()

Right answer CM, Hippa.....Healthcare workers will know what I'm talking about.Mine!
My Bradley folder, M4 steel, last knife I'll ever need... Just need to convince myself and stop buying more.

Well stated. I agree, I like a variety for my different moods and needs for different days. Out at night: bigger & more tactical, all black blades (I can deploy without anyone noticing if I get too sketched out). At work: the dragonfly won't freak anyone out and gets the job done. Dressin up: Nirk Tighe. Weekend: ram, para 2 or manix2.I have knife moods.
Sometimes I want something substantial. Other times that same knife feels like a brick. So I carry something smaller. Then that knife feels inadequate.
Rinse and repeat.
I like it. Considering it's really a root saw, it's size is fine. How do you like the saw on that farmer? Not sure I would have a use for a saw that small.
