i know you've gotten quite a bit of offers for people wanting to donate you a knife but regardless of how many offers you take up on or fallow through with i've got an unused cold steel hunter with about a 5-6in blade that i've had 5 years, never used and cant think of a better thing to do with it that give it to someone, particularly you.

so no matter how many free knives you end up with please PM me and give me your address.i tried PM'ing you but it wont let me.you can never have too many knives.

i was just going to do my own destruction test on it and see what that CARBON V could take but would much rather use it to help someone out.

so seriously PM me and shoot me your address bud.at the very least do it because it will make me feel better.

good luck kid.

Hey Scott,

Think of it this way:
There's so much crap going on in the world that we CAN'T affect, that you are doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do something that WILL improve a situation.

Thank you.

Can you believe this........It's been snowing here all day, so I had to cancel my fitting appt. But, it's rescheduled for thursday. Only a two day delay, so it's not that major.

Anyhow, what the heck are you guys doing??

Went for a walk, too warm, had to come back and change to lighter clothes. :)
Snow? Snow everywhere ... melting, dwindling, mud and slush.

The thing is, this is the worst year of snow we have had in many, many years. I don't remember anything like this year here, and I was born and raise here.

My wife couldn't leave the hospital for a week because of the snow we got. We didn't even get any visitor for that time cause no one could make it. Maybe once or twice a year we would get a couple inches, at least at our altitude.

The craziness. But, it sure is pretty.

Breakthru62, Welcome here, a little belated, and hope all goes well with the fitting. As others has said, great bunch of boys and girls here. Looks like you have plenty of steel to play with, but if anything is needed, please ask. Having the shiny pointed sharp thingy is just the start. Next will come maintenance, then some alterations, then another, and then..................................

You get the idea!

Matt

No snow here today. It was in the upper 60s. I managed to sneak away from work early. Me and my girl took our dogs to our favorite trout stream. We caught a few rainbows then relaxed with a beer by the stream as the sun went down. Couldn't have asked for a better day for this time of the year. Hope the snow clears in time for your next appointment.

I had wanted to get out to the woods today but it rained on my little chunk of Texas all day so I stayed in and screwed around.

We needed the rain pretty bad so I can deal.

Good luck on Thurs. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

So, went to the doc's today. I got measured up for a gel type liner. After the liner arrives next week, the doc will call me so we can do a plaster type mold.
Now, he says it shouldn't take more than a week after we do the plaster mold to get the temporary leg made.

I'm allowing a month before I get to put it on and walk, just so I'm not crushed when it doesn't come in on time.

I'm getting so close to being mobile. Oh yeah, I will be posting pics.

Now, if someone can draw up plans for a sheath I can strap to my leg...........

I wouldn't be the least surprised if someone came up with something for you. There's a LOT of talented folks around here.

I'm pretty laid back and I think I have a great sense of humor, not much I can't find humor in.
We (family, friends, and myself) have all kinds of jokes going about what I can do with/to my new leg.
Anything from air-brushing tatto's to strapping a .38 to it.
I get random calls or texts from friends who just thought of the perfect thing!!!
It's hard not to keep a smile on my face. :D

Sounds good. You'll probably see it in a week, but you still need adjustments: height, angle of the foot, possibly even some sanding down inside. (The plaster cast gives them a close idea, not an exact fit.)

Then it's get up and go.

Hollow it out and fill it with outdoors supplies; the hell with those Altoid tin kits!
