This is possibly a few years old, I'm not sure, but I bought s/hand and guess it had been around a while, but well looked after.

Sorry it's with two others, will dig it out and take some more/better pics when I can......it's a big'un

HI to All . Thanks for visiting my site . Here is a knife I did few weeks ago for a young man who wanted to visit my shop an see how I do things. I haven't made straight knives in a while an the bolster is very thin for the sheep horn handle, we didn't have much time to do it right ( Like Mill the bottoms of the scales), so I put whatever I had on hand for a bolster, but I did taper the heck out of it to make it fit. Steel was AtS-34 an the final temper around 60 -61rc. I love the pinkish hue the horn gives off.

Good looking knife, Joe! I like the distal taper!

Thanks Railsplitter and Peregrin, I have another one almost like it in a folder but left most of the bark on it ,so sorry no gorgeous pink hue on it, will post later today. Thanks for your reply.

End of July El Lobo folder-Hi everyone, just finishing up on this one . Took me a long time making this one an I still have to respin the pins -sharpen the blade -check for any scratches on the blade, package it up an get to The buyer soon as possible ,he's waited for 2 months of my vacationing an other excuses plus the knife before this one ( Look Above at straight knife) was made on his order time. This El Lobo is in CPM-154 blade an spring an sheep horn scales with most of the BARK LEFT ON. Hope you enjoy the pic's.

Really like how the bark was left on, I’m sure it will feel good in hand. How the weight on this?

I was going to say the same thing, I bet that knife feels great in hand. It probably just locks in and becomes an extension of your fist....nice work Mr. Joe.

THANKS WOODYSONE AN ROCKON75--THE WEIGHT IS SOMEWHERE ABOUT WHAT A REMINGTON BACK POCKET WOULD BE ,PLUS THE BOLSTERS AN SCALES ARE IN THE 1/8 " THICK ,SO NOT TO THICK AN BULKY . YES IT SHOULD FIT THE HAND WELL BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE FINGER GROOVES ARE SPACED AN BE SOMEWHAT GRIPPY BECAUSE OF THE SHEEP HORN TEXTURE. ITS PACKAGED UP AN MAILING OUT SAT.- THANKS FOR LOOKING.

Hi to all Blade forums friends. Here is another El Lobo Back Pocket style knife I just finished today. Still need to do some bolster work an sharpen the blade then its finished. this is my Third El Lobo an the second one in Sheep horn which I just love it. The blade is 3 1/8 from tip to bolster with an over all length of 7 1/2". The scales are sheep horn an the blade is CMP-154 Stainless steel Heat treated an Tempered with Cryo also to a final 60-61 on the rockwell scale. This one has and opening pull hardness of about four as I have been trying to lighten it up to a good working pull with out being to hard to open. Very flush in all three positions plus a tight blade with no blade play an centered very good . Comes with a bronze bushing in the pivot area. Comes also in a leather zip pouch. Please feel free to leave comments . Thanks for looking.

HI knife fans , Just finished this sweet little beauty while ago, I call it a Dog Leg Jack in Wharncliffe Blade. The Cpm-154 Blade and spring are Cryo treated an tempered to each's area of hardness. 60-61 on blade and 50 to 51 for spring. The blade is 2 1/2" long with and over all length of 6 3/16". Closed is 3 5/8". I used Maroon jigged bone for the scales an inlayed the shield with two stainless steel pins. Opening pull is an easy 3 to 4. flush in 3 positions . Hope you enjoy an if you might be interested further go to Knifemakers for Sale area an click on Folders . Thanks for looking an comments good or bad are welcome. Cheers friends of the Blade.

Thanks Arden. Stag is hard to get good even pairs , but I'm going to take it apart an work on tightening that pivot area an get rid of that crack on the left side thats showing. Maybe take a little more off the bushing an see if thats the problem, but I know that bushing is about where it should be ,could be a burr I didn't see , so thats why you never know how its going to end ,this is one step towards perfection. Thanks Will also for the like. The back strap or spine and bolsters are not done in this picture ,couple guys wanted to see what I was working on ,so i kinda jumped the gun to get them a picture ,so back in the shop today for this Eureka until he's ready for prime time.

I especially like the clip point blade. That’s the one thing missing from the majority of eurekas.
