kershaw warehouse sale

had to post the best of my loot
IMG_1642.jpg
I didn't see ANY of those models there! Next year I'll have to stay overnight. I was in line at 6:30 and in at 11:40. What time did you get in?

All the knives are blems and hold no warranty. The secret to the warehouse sale is... well you have to ask thomas what the secret is. But once he lets you in you might not make it out alive!

Can you say how much they were or is that between you and Thomas?

Well then I may be back for a second round then!! You have to tell me where to pick up one of the nice Flexfit Kershaw black hats with red logo that I saw one of the staff checking on the line wearing.

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice something in this picture?

Now I know Dave's secret.

Got a good laugh out of this, that is probably why whoever was sitting in that chair wet them selves, seeing that ugly mug peering out the window, you are very creative, Ha.

What kind of price breaks were there on some of those things? Just wondering if it was worth the wait for you.
I hope Thomas is okay with posting these prices. Prices will probably change day to day from what I've heard anyway.

Prices were approximately half of street prices. My memory is bad but here's some guesses: $17 for the Chives, Scallions I think were $19, $24 for Skylines, $150 for ZT 0300, $75
for ZT 0350, crowns for $10, large carabiners multitools for $9, rescue Blurs for $34. The prices will probably be lower on Sunday on many items. The carabiners they were practically having to shove in to people's hands.

I was able to find non-blem marked items, mostly stuff on the discontinued list Thomas posted awhile ago. I picked up a blue and a gray non-blem Needs Work but the black was blems only. Great deals on gift and user knives but if you plan on selling them or for collecting then no not great. I use all my knives and Kershaws are so well made I'm not concerned they have no warranty.

I looked at the kitchen knives a bit but didn't buy any. I would guess half or more of the people were there for the Shun stuff. The guy in front of me in line works at Pok Pok and Press Club as a cook. They also had some KAI beauty stuff and I picked up some tweezers for $6 that are as good as the $20 Tweezermans.

Another hour and half in line and 2 hours in and would have waited longer. The deals today are much better and the selection is similar, all the ZTs were gone though. Talked to the man, the myth, Thomas. Nicest guy ever! Hooked me up with some great knives (I've now, officially spent an entire paycheck now.. As far as the lady knows I'm under $500 still!!)
Thomas hooked me up with a Kershaw hat and the
Mystery Ranch backpacks hat is now retired. My forehead is free billboard space for companies I love. We also picked up several Shun and after seeing how gorgeous they are, I'm tempted to head back for a third day even though I have no real use for fancy kitchen knives :)

This required a post of it's own. I was told Thomas likes to be the a bit of a rock star on the forums but the reputation isn't undeserved. While I was there Thomas gave a young man a special price on a knife and tossed a knife to one of his staff with instructions to give it to the first girl she's sees around the age of the young man.

I thought I recognized Thomas but he was wearing a shop apron and had to be directed to him. Totally nice guy, and any company that treats their customers this well and has executives that dress
down to work shoulder to shoulder with floor staff deserves my money. If you haven't yet been to the warehouse sale, stop by if you can!

I went down this morning to see what the fuss was all about. Really I just wanted to drop off a couple pieces to be sharpened.

I waited in line for a little more than an hour. Actually ran into an old friend while in line so the time went by quickly. Had I known there was a huge line I would have worn a few extra layers, I was thoroughly frozen by the time we got inside!

I was really only interested in looking at a few pieces, but it took a while for the techs to sharpen my two knives so I walked all through the warehouse. For such a huge crowd, everyone was extremely polite. I guess when so many knife nuts are running around with sharp things in hand, people tend to mind their manners. lol!

Anywhoo, here is a pic of my loot. Would have liked to see a zdp-189 Leek but sadly they have been discontinued for a while. I may save my pennies and be back next year for some Shun Kitchen Knives!

P.S. The black blur in the pic is a handle from a rescue blur (carbide glass breaker) and the blade from a ZDP-189 Blur. I made the swap when I got home and it is now my preferred EDC!

The ZTs were on the to buy list but alas no luck :( Did score a Tremor, Clash, and an orange Packrat :) My wife came along too and bought a couple of the colored kitchen knives specifically for her camp kitchen box. Thanks for another great sale Kershaw!!!

Ya I got there right around 9 a.m. on Friday, seen the line and just kept right on driving lol. I came back around 1ish and it was just as long if not longer and again just kept on driving. :) I really wanted to check it out but there was nothing being sold that is worth that long of a line for me. I'll buy from Kershaw Guy if there's something I have to have!! :) I did drop off my Gerber Multi Tool while I was in that area at the Gerber factory though and the lady at the front desk had the personality of belly button lint lol.

Ok last day! First person who stops by to say hi, I have a free 0550 or Tilt for them (your choice). We close at 3:00 so, we'll see if anyone takes home a new knife.

Don't think I need anymore knives , but I will be seeing you around noonish, Back to Kershaw on my birthday, Yea !!!

Happy Birhtday Dave!!!!!!! If I was still in the Portland area I would have tried to get in one last time but I left last night and headed back to Coos Bay!!! Dang it anyways lol. Line probably wouldn't have been all that bad today either but ya never know!

I arrived at the 2011 Kershaw factory/warehouse sale @ 8:40 AM today, Sunday, and went right in as the line was moving when I got into it.

Thomas said that I was the first one to say hi so he gave me my choice of the two knives and I picked the brilliant Tilt. WOW! I still can't believe my good fortune.
